Regardless of its physical location on a map, Turkey plays in Europe for football.

A bit off topic, but what happened to Freddy Adu after he went to Portugal? Does he play for the US national team or anything?

I think Benfica had three coaching changes last season, so he went from spot starter and first guy off the bench, to a 10 minute sub, to not dressing. He moved on loan to AS Monaco, with and has not moved into the starting XI as I hoped when Jeremy Menez was sold to Roma. I think Adu will find more playing time there as Benfica was piling on the play-makers to go in front of him on the depth chart.

Quite funny seeing as he was a target for Both Man Utd and Arsenal once upon a time.

I think that's the path you'll see Charles Renken taking. Renken, like Adu is a play maker who emigrated from Africa at a young age. Adu was always on track for MLS. From the sounds of it, Renken is looking to go to Europe sooner, rather than later. I think that will probably be best for him.

With Adu, all of the skills are there and the size and strength and developing as well. He should be getting serious consideration from Bradley as one of the play makers behind the forward. As good as I think Donovan is, I think Adu would quickly become better if he gets a chance from Bradley.
