Great game apparently. I didn't get to see the game cause I went to see the late show of Troy, so I missed all of it after the 1st quarter. But, anyways, I do believe I called it in some other thread that the Lakers would win game 3 and 4 at Staples, go back to San Antonio and take game 5, than come back to Staples and take game 6. Exactly what happened. Anyways, yea, Lakers going to the WCF, good to see.

On a side note, when Devin Brown leaped after the loose ball just to throw it off Tony Parker's leg...

Excellent win by our Lakers as they overcame a 2-0 early series deficit to come all the way back and win four straight against the former cjampions San Antonio Spurs. The game was very tight, as the Spurs played very hard, tough, and physical for 48 minutes, but when it was all said and done, our Lakers battled the Spurs to the very end and we advanced to the Western Conference Finals. I must give props to Shaquille O'Neal. It looked like in the closing stages of the game that Shaq would have to hit free throws to secure the win, and what happened? He bent his knees, put some rotation on that basketball, and hit clutch free throws down the stretch. And for an exclamation point, Kobe Bryant with the finishing touch on an excellent slam dunk. And what a way to gain revenge in that kind of fashion. Now I've been reading some posts that some Laker fans here want the TWolves to beat the Kings so that the Lakers can keep their momentum up? Or face the Queens so that the Lakers can have homecourt?? Thing is, it doesn't really matter where we play. Homecourt was never a possibility for us, I think we can play a team anywhere whether it's at home or on the road. But I think the Lakers need tremendous rest. A time for the old veteran guys to rest their aching muscles, and most importantly, a healthy Kobe Bryant. We all know he needed IV fluids, so if the Lakers can get a significant amount of rest, we'll be fine next series. Who wants to restart the countdown to a championship?

Kobe Bryant will say that homecourt doesn't matter but there shouldn't be any doubt that it does. LA is 6-0 at Staples in the playoffs but 3-3 on the road.

EDIT: I'm sorry make that 2-3 on the road. I must've drank more than I realized.

I agree the Lakers need more rest than anything... but to face the Kings on our homecourt again would be sweet too. The last series we had against them 2 years ago, they had the homecourt and the Kings were talking trash until Bob Horry buried their hopes in Game 4 like Fisher this year buried the Spurs' hopes in Game 5. It's our turn to host the Ladies aka Queens.

Again, I'm not a Spurs fan and I am not heart broken. I was rooting for them to get past the Lakers and that is the extent of it. If I wasn't here it would have got pretty boring.[IMG]

Next round I'll be cheering for the Lakers opponet, probably the Kings.[IMG]

How about that monster facial by Kobe in the last minute? That's what dunking is all about. Not some weak breakaway dunk all by yourself, but in traffic over Duncan when the game means something.

That dunk was sick. Huge facial. I think that just added a HUGE exclamation point to that game, and, it showed what exactly the series had became. It showed that the Lakers had taken absolute control and that whoever faces them in the next round is going to have one hell of a fight. That's what I thought.

It doesn't look like a facial from that pic.

^Yep, Timmy surprisingly didn't attempt to block it. I was wondering what Timmy was thinking. He was there. Anyways that dunk brought the house down.
