In 2008 when he was signed for one year Hank made $4.25 , hardly rookie money but necessary to lure the King from Sweden. He then signed a 6 year deal with a $6.875 cap hit. Not like the Rangers have been cheap with the guy throughout his career. Glen was not compelled to resign Hank on Hank's terms, my recollection is there were only a few teams that could pay $7+ mil. Good for Hank getting paid with a NTC for 7 years, at least he won a big cup full of money.
Hanks contract is affordable now as we have no one making any money and we will be a lottery type team next year. On a contending team an aging hank's contract is a disaster.
Quinn is saying he wants to play anu uptempo , puck possession, fast game. ....and physical. Isn’t that exactly what AV said? This team doesn’t have many physical players expect to be like a Las Vegas or Columbus
