<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>People on the left side. Stop the bull sh*t. Sadam Hussein is gone. His sons, gone. We are being protected right now thanks to our US troops. I think we should get out of Iraq because we have done enough but we should continue to stay in countries like Afghanistan and eliminate the Taliban fuckers. Give our troops credit that they so much deserve and stop putting your party and agenda ahead of them so it wins you votes somehow.</div>*sigh*Saddam Hussein, who had nothing to do with 9/11 and wasn't one of the 5 most dangerous dictators in the world, has been out of power for three years. Terrorism has increased and no notable gains have been made. I am tired of arguing with people whose entire opinion is based of the far right media as opposed to common sense and or logic.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LakersFan247 @ Mar 4 2007, 01:30 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>So you think getting involved with Iran is a mistake? Iran got involved with us. They have already said they want nuclear weapons and once they get them they will attack the US. Their crazy dictator/terrorist leader said it out in the open. They want to get WMD and bomb Israel along with the US. This is a serious problem...not some unguided plan for nothing. Getting rid of Hussein was a positive move btw.</div> Lakersfan, I think your getting too caught up in right wing fantasies. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is trying to give his country credability, thats why he wants nuclear weapons. His country would never even get in the position to launch a nuclear weapon, so your fears of an attack are ridiculous. Israel has said many times that it would not let Iran possess a nuclear weapon and Israel doesn't bluff. Iran doesn't possess the means to hit the United States with a nuclear weapon...and Iran's leadership would never hand a nuclear weapon to a terrorist group outside it's authority...because Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cares too much about his legacy to have his country turned to glass by the United States military. If Iran continues to develope it's nuclear program Israel will obviously take care of it, and we will either be right with them or right behind them. There's no need to worry, Iran will never get a shot at attacking anyone. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad might be a anti-semite luntic but he's not a stupid man.
Ahmadinejad may not hand over the weapon, but whos to say his successor wouldn't? Ahmadinejad isn't as popular in his own country as he once was, and could easily lose the next election, especially since his attempts to modernize Iran has alienated the religious nutjobs. Iran wouldn't be able to hit US soil with a Nuke you're right about that, but he could hit US forces in Iran, Afghanistan, and in the Gulf. also, its very likely if Iran did get a bomb they would hit Isreal, Israel would likely retaliate and world war three could be sparked off.
Israel won't let Iran have the bomb in the first place...Iran will never have a nuclear weapon as long as Israel is in existance so I don't see an issue.
Israel will try to do their best to stop them, but first the international community needs to pressure Iran. the sanctions seem to be working which hopefully will nip this in the bud sooner than later. Another thing to be concerned with is Iran buying weapons from the Russians. hopefully the Russians aren't stupid enough to do something like that, because if the Iranians do buy than use than Moscow is going to be facing some serious sh*t from the rest of the world.

I dislike Bush to but I don't blame everything on him because I know theres check and balances and it's not all his fault but I do feel that he deserves some of the blame at least.

I was bad mouthing George Bush who made the decision to attack Iraq. Also - Lakersfan - I didnt say they wont use the nuclear energy for nukes - I said we can't just automatically look to the bad side - he could be using it to power his city. Also I don't really mind Iran having Nukes - they don't, and won't strike preemptively because Ahmadinejad wouldn't do that to his country. The only way he'd strike is if he was attacked - and that makes sense, you want to defend yourself and country from threats.

okay, stop blaming just Bush for the war, if your going to blame somebody for the war, blame the entire government.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The federal government comprises three branches, which are designed to check and balance one another's powers:Legislative: The Congress, made up of the Senate and the House of Representatives, which makes federal law, declares war, approves treaties and has powers of impeachment and the purse. Executive: The President, who appoints, with Senate approval, the Cabinet and other officers, who administers and enforces federal law, can veto bills, and is Commander in Chief of the military. Judiciary: The Supreme Court and lower federal courts, whose judges are appointed by the President with Senate approval, which interpret laws and their validity under the Constitution and can overturn laws they deem unconstitutional.</div>If the government...your representatives didnt want the war as a majority, it wouldnt have happen. It's easy to blame the whole government because parts of it gave him the authority but they gave their trust to George Bush.
no, people are blaming Bush for taking us to the war. Im just trying to make a point that he alone didnt do that, it had to take, and did take the whole government to go to war. The strategy of the war is different.
Person at the top always takes the heat. Stop trying to say the "Entire" government. We know their are checks and balences ya dumb F*ck, what we are saying is is that he should take the most blame because the stragety he has enforced in the middle east blows, and essentially we are allowing him to kill all our troops. You have nothing else to say because no one can defend the fu*kin monkey at this point...
