Bosh will be listed as a forward.
i kno wat im saying is that its likely that all 3 will hit the game thas 3 out of 12 spots filled im going to go out on a limb and say that this will be the starting lineup Shaq,JO,Vince,Lebron,Wade......that leaves 7 spots i figure shoe-ins to make the team are Jason Kidd,Allen Iverson,Paul Pierce,Ron Artest(They Are Training Him At Power Forward...i saw it on a link on a website i wuld post it, but cant remember what site i got it from), Big Ben(With Shaq, they may move him to Small Forward for the all star game), Zydrunas, and either Arenas//Redd//Jefferson//Francis//Marbury//...i don think they will care about a guard Jam...they'll just use players at other positions.....i don kno i think if Rose leaves then Bosh is a Shoe-In, he just doesnt seem like an All Star to me

No way. Z for sure won't make the all-star team. Ron Artest on the all star squad? No. The Pacers are 'experimenting' him at PF spot but his position won't change - not that it matters because he'll still be listed as a forward if he makes the list. Jefferson over Bosh? Are you serious..
Yes he is, the All-Star game is about popularity, and Jefferson is much more recognized than Chris Bosh. I think Bosh will be a solid player for many years, but as opposed to you guys saying we're underrating him I think he is overrated as of now. I might end up eating my own words, but that's just my opinion. He won't make the allstar team next year, and i don't think he will put up 20-10. but hey, that's just my opinion again.

You do realize how young he is, and how big men usually develop late yet its still reasonable he could 20-10 next season yet he gets no press in the states. Bosh is top 5 young players right now, and in my opinion he will be better than Wade in a few years.
Nah, I think Bosh is sometimes overrated in this forum and in Toronto. Last year everybody got excited that he might make the allstar game, but there really was no chance of that. He gets enough coverage, everybody knows his game. He's definitely developing into an elite forward, but is not a lock to make the game this year. He's not going to make the starting lineup and if I remember correctly, he was listed as a center on last year's ballot. If he's a center on this year's ballot then I don't see him making it over Big Ben. If he's listed as a forward then he'll have to compete with Jefferson, Jamison, and even Dwight Howard. He'll have a much better chance, but will have to show the consistency from the end of last year for the entire season.

If you ask me he deserved to be there more than Ben Wallace who had missed a few games + the Pistons hadnt started the season the way they were expected too. I also could of seen him going over Antawn. It didnt happen, i wasnt too suprised, but i think to say there was no chance is a bit off. He should make it this year i believe....i mean at very least he'll be close to a 20-10 mark that only 3 players in the league have. Thats all-star worthy in itself + the fact this kid is one of the future faces of the NBA and is already the franchise player for a team that represents an entire country.
He didn't deserve to be on the team last year, because of how he played before the VC trade. He was inconsistent, probably because he wasn't the definite first option. He definitely changed it around after, but it was late because he was still averaging around 16 ppg. This year he will be the first option for the whole year so I think he has good chance of making the team. But his status needs to be changed to forward instead of center.

He did not average 16 ppg after the Vince trade. That's his season average. It was something close to 21 ppg and 9.8 rpg after the Vince trade. There's a good chance - if his listed as a centre - that he will not be a starter at ASG, but he'll definitely make it as a bench player.
@02civic he did not deserve to be in that game before big ben....big ben is one of maybe 3 players in the all star game that represent an NBA player that actually thrives on DEFENSE...a seemingly lost art in the NBA
Of course he has a good chance of making it this year. I think a whole season of being the first option will help Bosh be more consistent. And for last year: he may have averaged around 20 ppg after the trade, but what was his average for the season at that point? They didn't bring him in the allstar game, because he hadn't shown the consistency, which is what I said earlier.

I got my money on Bosh getting to the all-star game over Zyrunas. The Big Z is a great player and everything but he isn't what you would call a fan favorite because of his style of play. Bosh also has an advantage being in Canada and should draw a lot of votes from there.

I love Bosh and all, but his total year numbers were not his numbers at the All-Star break, and even if they were, they didn't really surpass the other candidates. Bosh's numbers at the All-Star break: 16.0 PPG | 8.2 RPG | 1.8 APG | 1.25 BPG his numbers before the break and after Vince left: 17.7 PPG | 8.8 RPG | 1.9 APG | 1.4 BPG Jamisons: 20.8 PPG | 8.1 RPG | 2.2 APG | 0.85 SPG Antawn Jamison was putting up 20 points and 8 rebounds on a Wizards team who at that time was on pace to win 50 games, and came short really because of injuries. Jamison post All-Star break was only averaging about 16 PPG due to injuries. If Bosh deserved it when he was on a losing team, and putting up lesser numbers, then I don't even know what to say. Bosh was not a center, but even if he deserved if over Ben Wallace [which he really didn't], how could he have gotten it over Z at center. Z was putting up: 17.4 PPG | 8.3 RPG | 1.4 APG | 1.96 BPG at the break, and Cleveland was winning and in the playoffs at that point in the season. Z was beating Bosh in most of the main statistical categories, while playing less minutes, and was on at that time, a better team. Ben Wallace: 9.5 PPG | 11.8 RPG | 2.0 APG | 1.40 SPG | 2.49 BPG at the break. While Bosh is a much better offensive player, Ben was beating him in rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and the defensive margin between them is like night and day.
Quote:

Okay first off, Bosh needed 2 more freaking votes by the coaches to make the All-star team last year as a bench player. I'm pretty sure Bosh averaged 21 ppg and 9.8 rpg for the week that he got Eastern Player of the Week award.
He averaged 21 and 10 for a week.. that's like an average of 3 games. He did play better after the Carter trade, but no he didn't put up anything near 20-10.

Bosh is gonna lead the Raptors in scoring this season, if not it will be Rose, but Bosh will have pretty good stats in his third year. I don't see why he won't make it as a reserve on the all-star team.
