I think he could be a good fit next to Aldridge. Tyson Chandler/DeAndre Jordan type center.

A guy that gets points without really needing the ball and a pretty good shot blocker.

If he can learn how to throw his weight around in the paint he could be better. A good big man coach could do wonders.

I don't question his skill or potential. It's his drive and tendency to shy away from the moment that bugs me. With Brandon gone, this team needs an alpha dog who will motivate the others and not be afraid to chew them out if they are slacking. A guy with an unstoppable motor, and drive.

The only guys in the draft with that sort of mentality are Robinson and Rivers. Drummond would only add to our current top 2 passive players who play scared.

BTW, I'm seriously intrigued at the idea of putting Robinson next to LA and playing two PFs at a time. TRob does everything LA doesn't (both on the floor and as a potential leader). I know shot blocking would be an issue, but Robinson is a great help side defender and plays well above his height. Much closer to Blake Griffin than he is Derrick Williams.

Yeah, Robinson's been my favorite for awhile. I want him on the Blazer bad!

That's exactly who I want, too. Then sign Deron.

    Williams/Rivers/Batum/Robinson/Aldridge. Drool...

LOL. I just did. Now you're finally admitting it's opinion? Hello, Mr. John Kerry, flip-flopper. Thanks for admitting it's opinion, instead of continuing to present it as fact.

I haven't really stated much opinions, other than agree with yours and tell you that what you're stating as fact, was indeed, not fact. I'd suggest you go back and read it. That's all. For the 10th time, I was defending someone when you discounted another poster's opinion, when we'll actually get to see that opinion play out. Yours? Smoke, mirrors, and hash pipe dreams. Shoulda, woulda, coulda, and if only?

As for sensitive? No. Just shocked you keep ranting on when I've agreed with pretty much everything you've said, other than I've told you what you presented was not fact as you have pushed out there. Instead, it's simply based on opinions and extremely small sample size.

Drummond looks pretty damn agile, and while his offensive game is raw, it's decent, and something that can be developed. If any of you guys have watched him during games, you've drooled at the thought of his game next to LA.

Offense can be taught. Agility is a much harder thing to teach, and we all know height can't be taught.

    Such a sick lineup.

If that doesn't work out and Deron goes elsewhere, my plan B would be to trade Rivers to Boston for Rondo. Then we'd get a lineup of Rondo/Wessy/Nic/LA/TRob.

    Still very good.

Don't know if I am happy or disappointed with this result. On one hand, we win the #1 pick and get unibrow. On the other, NJ lands #2, so we must wait another year for their first rounder.

The real question is how many times did you have to play before ending up with this result? :ghoti:

A point on missing out on NJ's pick this year, since it seems to come up a lot:

It would seem VERY, OVERWHELMINGLY likely that this pick, sooner or later, will be a very valuable asset. Why? Dwight Howard. With Dwight not wanting to be viewed as Lebron 2.0 and signing his option for next year (guaranteeing his status on Orlando's roster through next season) it all but guarantees Deron Williams will be leaving the Nets after THIS season. That means that (likely) neither Howard, nor DWill will be a Net next season to influence next year's pick.

Now I suppose you can play the free agent card and say "well if DWill leaves they'll have a lot of cap space, and moving to Brooklyn and Prokhorov's global entity will appeal to a lot of free agents. True, but we've seen the free agency list, it ain't pretty (to add to the potential roster issues, two of the "prettiest" FAs out there are their own Brooke Lopez and Kris Humphries neither are any guarantee to stay.)

So the Nets will be in a situation where, to be competitive enough to create the doomsday situation of "their 2013 pick won't be valuable" they'll have to build a playoff caliber team with the likes of Marshawn Brooks, Damion James, maybe Gerald Wallace and maaaaaaaybe Brook Lopez and/or Humprhies (on new, larger deals mind you) plus free agents of lower quality than DWill and potentially Lopez and/or Humphries and a top-3 draft pick... Does that really scare ANYONE??? Trades? I'll use the same logic - how drastic of the moves will they have to make to turn that roster into something competitive? All of this, by the way, supposedly coming from the same front office that swapped cap room and a dangerously unprotected pick (which, if you'd been following the story, likely could have been FAR more protected) for Gerald Wallace? Not seein' it.

Suffice it to say, I feel confident that whether it's this draft or next, it'll be a lotto pick.

Stopped counting at 20. I think it was 10-15 times after.

No don't get me wrong. I think NJ will be even worse next season, but still would want the pick this season.

I see McAdoo's name on this. Is he planning on entering the draft? If so, that's who you target.

ESPN/Chad Ford isnt projecting any international player to go in the lottery/top 14... according to the lottery game. Kinda interesting.

Another thing to keep in mind about Drummond is that he's the age of a HS senior.
