I wonder if Buffalo or Florida would do 2 1sts plus Jones/Robertson/Pajuniemi for Eichel or Barkov. Maybe have to throw in another pick or prospect.

Scratch that. They bitch slapped Providence one of the top AHL teams 6-1. Ronning with 2 more goals. Laying waste to the AHL. Now in 9 games, 8 goals, 5 assists. Barron 2 A now with 8 G 7 A in 15 games. Cuylle a goal and an assist. 5 points in 10 games. Not bad for an 18 year old. Gettinger picked up a goal.

Superior coaching for the Pack developing Ronning, Barron and Richards.

He is supposed to be an elite defensive and faceoff guy. That would be nice. I have a feeling Blackwell is going to get a second round pick offer with a package of Howden and maybe Smith. A contender looking for depth.

They need to craft a good 4th line for the next 4-5y. Maybe Richards, Barron, FA and a few others in the mix.

Does anybody besides me think if gautier not picked in expansion draft or traded beforehand he would be fine on the 4th line with his size and speed

He's a talented kid in the Ryan Ellis mold. If anything he could end up being a decent trade chip.

Why would Gauthier be eligible for the expansion draft? He's barely played any NHL games.

Yep. Your right. He doesn’t have enough games in parts of 3 seasons.

He's a defensive liability and a penalty machine who gets the occasional scoring chance. He's an injury fill-in to me.

Anything can happen of course, and it certainly wouldn't be some huge issue if he was the 11th or 12th forward for us, but with our skill in the top 9, ideally we'd have some sandpaper and PK ability on the 4th line, not another skill top 9 type guy. Plus I don't think it is best for him either. His game really is more suited for a top 9 forward, not a 4th line guy.

Maybe Ronning turns into a late bloomer but i suspect it's just more an outlier burst of points.

Pack rebounded today from their last crap effort with a 3-1 win over a tough Providence team. Ronning and Barron with goals. Reunanen with an assists. Huska with 21 saves. Huska is healthy this year and is much better. He has a lot of talent. If the Rangers are out of it, I think they give him a call up and see if he can replace Georgiev.
