Lol some companies are ridiculous with thier names though. We just completed a job for Mammoth Erectors. I shit you not.
I dont know why but every time I get an email from Tektronix it cracks me up. Its literally like a 13 year old was like how do I concatonate technology and electronics and make it kewl.
The Huge job is the Hayward field job down in Eugene. When i'm done up here i will go to that one. Hangin and Bangin around the beginning of May.
You are right. I didnt mention it cause i didnt think anyone would know. We also did both google buildings in stockton and texas for schuff.
If you are sver curious about how the steel is bent up i could give tou a tour of our place. Im tualatin. Some things we do are pretty unique and elite. Only a couple other companies in the country equal our capabilities. We specialize in stair strings but that might be a little smaller than what you are used to.
@Orion Bailey Here is the stadium as it will look. Also the transparent look that the PDX Baseball field is looking for. There is a bunch of steel in this. There will be four raising gangs going at the same time.
That would be really nice to see. I am an apprenticeship instructor. Seriously they have no idea when they get in the trade. I had a chance to work for CWI (Columbia Wire & Iron) about 18 years ago so i got a good look at shop work. But i have very little in the last decade. I'm sure it has evolved nicely. Who are you with? HW? Northwest Metal?
I also worked with Vigor Marine and Vigor works. They do a bunch of stuff. They bought out the old Oregon Iron works.
Yep. We are finishing up a hige vigor job now. They send in their own trucks though so i have less handling on that project. Litttle bending and mostly fab on this project though. Anytime you want a tour just let me know. We could do it on the side on an off day or during business hours. Most of the work takes to long to see a start to finish in one sitting though so during business hours is not much different than when the machines are down on the weekend.
Ahh Nice. The "Curve" guys. That would mean you also probably just got done with the convention center stuff going in right now. All the fab guys know of Albina. I am not in the project management part of this as i am just a regular Ironworker that made good. But i do get a chance to work with them and when they need you they usually always go there.
Thanks for the pics I haven't been to a Timbers game since before they went pro. I miss Thirsty Thursday games of tgh beavers and timbers.
That is the side they remodeled just a few years ago. Realized they should have built up more than they did.
You are obviously losing your mind at your old age FAMS. Remember there is an access road back there. Itβs a good 30 feet or so between the back of the stands and the MAC building.
