I listened to the two opening statements......Schiff is not rattled at all but the defense is pretty emo and chaotic.
Thanks all, but I’m more confused than ever. Recording on my DVR at home. Curious if the CNN feed is the same as the FOX feed?
Strictly in terms of convicting the President, yes, it is a waste of time. But in terms of doing what's right and what's called for in the Constitution, they are doing what they are required to do and that's hold hearings and then vote for impeachment. The ignominiousness of doing the wrong thing will fall on the shoulders of the Senate Republicans and that is the true waste of time.
I still contend that this whole impeachment thing is to prevent Trump from putting a new supreme court nominee if something happens to RBG. They will drag this out until well into next year.
nah, that's just an added perk...GOP has already stacked the Supreme Court....they blocked Obama in his last year from appointing one
That makes absolutely no sense. 1. I can't believe that you believe that is the crux of this whole thing. 2. If, as you claim, it's all a wild goose chase and that Trump will not be removed from office, how would that prevent Trump from picking a replacement for RBG?
That just popped into my head a couple minutes after my post. Kind of obscure to most people, I would think.
I thought only Ronald Reagan, George Murphy and John Gavin were the only bad actors who became Republicans. Whoops, I almost forgot Shirley Temple except she played her roles very well as an actor. Shirley continued on as a terrific actor in her role as a delegate to the 24th United Nations General Assembly and as Ambassador to Czechoslovakia and then Ghana. Oh, and let's not forget Arnold Schwarzenegger. Republicans seem to love actors running things.
Dude...Google "notorious rbg". There are a ton of references. Not obscure at all; it's been her nickname for years.
Why should I have to Google? I know it's her nickname but there are so many initials out there that it wouldn't come to mind out of the many thousands. I can handle FBI and IRS perhaps a few others but RBG is not something I routinely see. Most of the time people refer to her as Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Why make people search through their memory banks for a seldom used expression?
