You know, I've never even thought about this explanation. It makes sense, though. There's another reason. If Trump were convicted and Pence became President and Pence died before he could get a new VP through the Senate then Pelosi would become President. I'm gonna take a wild guess that Republicans wouldn't like that too much. Of course, then not all the lemons in the world could wipe that grin off my face. I think we're all going to have to wait to find out what the results are from the next general election to know where things stand.

Let's say Trump is right that Zelinsky said it was legit. Why would he and his people sit back and watch Trump go through an impeachment process? Why would he or one of his people not be on the first flight over here to set the record straight? Both sides are arguing about his original statement and others testifying to the contrary so throw those out. Why not show up and clear up the back and forth if he's innocent? Yeah, like I said in the other thread, If Trump wanted to investigate the Bidens he didn't need to solicit the Ukraine to do so...he has the resources right here in the US to do that. And as far as both Trump and Zelensky claiming "there was no pressure", well no shit. What else were they gonna do, admit it?
