My guess to what he's saying to the cvnt. "You see that team Michael, that's the real germany, have you considered national retirement?"
Very impressed with this match. Don't know how to predict the rest of the tournament but what a game yesterday.
Well, you could also say that from the 13 that qualified from Europe only 3 qualified to this stage and from the 5 from South America 3 qualified to this stage.
Actually, four did, with Uruguay still alive. But let's face it, Brazil and Argentina are generally regarded the best in the world right now, along with Spain. And Brazil and Argentina went down 6-1 to Holland and Germany. If this German team doesn't get full of themselves, and stop playing like a team as they have in this tournament, we may be witnessing the most golden of eras of German football.
I don't think the Germans will lose focus being led by an excellent tactical manager. We've seen how Germany are in their own half, even when under intense pressure they will not simply clear the ball unless they absolutely have to, otherwise they will carefully pass the ball out. They're confident in their play and possession and patience is obviously the key. They have all the tools to punish any team they face.
True. But that doesn't take away South America's all around good tournament. Good effort from Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile.
South America's tournament was fantastic is general. All five representatives made it to the round of 16, Uruguay have finally lived up to their past and Paraguay had their best World Cup ever.
It's not 2010, or even the 2012 Euro's that I'm worried about, it's more 2014 and beyond, when all these players are hitting their mid to late 20's. I'm just hoping everybody keeps their egos in check and plays as a team. Always has been what Germany's known for in the past, but who knows these days, right? Not really taking away from the tournament they had. As a governing body, CONMEBOL probably had the best cup, for the reasons you stated. Still wanted to point out that it all came to a screeching halt thanks to UEFA.
