I would offer the MLE to Lebron.

We could probably get Henderson for the vet minimum. Same with Vince Carter.

The FAs that I think would interest Portland that also fall within the tax MLE range:

    Wayne Ellington
    Mario Hezonja
    Jamal Crawford
    Seth Curry
    James Ennis
    Belinelli
    Ian Clark
    Ilyasova
    Gerald Green

We can probably scratch Crawford off that list. It didn't work out all that well the first time and he's pretty old now.

You really think he would be worth it? Maybe the vet minimum.

Even as our third or fourth option, that's kind of low. But James has been in the league for what, 15 years? He may be interested in ring shopping with the Blazers.

I'd do it. You don't know if you don't try.

I would maybe take Ellington because he is all right and I think Hezonja could develop into an all right player but that’s about it from this list. Neither of them is worth $20m a year or $60m for three years from Paul Allen’s pocket.

Get the salaries under control, trade CJ, start remodeling this off season. Then again, I don't want Olshey anywhere near the refurbishing. So I guess next season will be another lost one for me
