I'm not sure but wasn't it Quick a couple of weeks ago who said the investigation hadn't found anything substantial?

I see CJ getting a ton of burn with the 2nd unit already. I don't understand why starting or not has anything to do with our success. When's he's the #2 option on the court he gets buckets easier than when he's #1. I see our second unit as going 1 on 5 with CJ or Simons doing all the dribbling. It won't work in the long haul IMO. I do like the idea of a bruiser with some swagger down low to offset our "softness." Maybe a trade is in order <shrug>

tbf he said on I think richmans podcast a couple weeks ago that he didn’t think olshey would survive. I’m guessing he doesn’t really have sources and is just throwing his own opinions out there lolz

Stotts and Olshey poisoned this team. It's time to blow it up and let Billups and the new GM start over.

Quick mentions blowout losses but fails to mention blowout wins against Suns, Clippers, Grizzlies, Lakers, and Nuggets. You gotta look at whole picture.

Suffering blowout losses when you can get blowout wins is a bad thing.

While yes it's other people's money the reason fans should care is because there is a salary cap. While CJ is a quality player, what percentage of the salary pie goes to him on a championship roster is a reasonable question. I don't think Hayward or Porzingis are consistently healthy enough to provide good vale at their contract levels regardless of their production. I do like Wiggins as a versatile long defender with some offensive skills. 30M is rich but the W's didn't care and weren't affected as they were already over the line mostly from retaining Steph, Draymond and Klay.

Quick was slower than most to realize this was more of a roster issue than a coaching issue. Quick seemed to be keeping his source in the front office open until he knew Olshey was no longer helpful to him.

Chris Haynes just said on a twitter space that some players knew he was gone before yesterdays game. Quick likely knew this when he sent out his tweet last night and wrote this article.

Haynes on a twitter space chat: "A lot of players in the league do not like Olshey".

I'm sure that helped our free agency acquisitions.

Haynes on a twitter space chat:

"The Olshey situation played a role in McGowan leaving. He wanted a structure in the organization and wanted himself (McGowan) to control more of the public narrative."

"I don't give him credit for drafting Damian Lillard."

"Dame has NEVER had a title contending team around him. NEVER HAS"

"Neil was given opportunities to trade for a star, but he was scared they might be a rental and leave. They should've allowed Dame to be around that star player to be around Dame for a year. (Olshey) never gave Dame that opportunity."

"Neil was afraid to take a bold swing because if it fails, you have to look at yourself. He only made fringe moves."

Olshey's always like, "No NBA player wants to sign as a free agent to play in Portland." When the truth was nobody wanted to sign with his slimy ass. I'm fucking glad that Olshey is gone and I hope he never runs a team again or gets a broadcasting job where I have to see his smug face or listen to his self serving bullshit.

Haynes on a twitter space chat:

"Neil's main issue is how he treated he felt were beneath him."

"Dame wants to win. You can't put that Dame likes his teammates as a reason to not make moves. Dame wanted to win and it was on Neil to make those moves. My complaint that I (Haynes) said to Olshey was he never went for homeruns, always bunt singles."

"At this point, the Blazers have tried this for 6-8 years. You know how this story is going to end. Why not try something new? Ben Simmons is a talent that isn't identical to anyone else. At this point, everything has to be on the table. EVERYTHING. Right now, they need to go in a different path. There needs to be a shake up for sure."

Haynes on a twitter space chat:

"Had these allegations not come up, Neil would still be the GM, PERIOD."

"Everything in the organization is filtered through Neil. People saying there were no complaints about Neil prior to this are misleading."

"I haven't talked to Joe Cornin in 10 years because everything is filtered through Neil."

"People were worried if they talked, they would lose their job. Look at Kim Hughes."
