It would just be another person for Dame to botch lobs to...

    By our fan base?

Gordon would for sure be a #1 seed. Maybe even the top overall seed.

Up until this year Julius Randle would be a #1 seed. He's having a great year though so I think he's improved enough not to be anymore.

I'm having trouble thinking of people off the top of my head so I'm probably forgetting some obvious ones but my short list of players our fan base overrates includes Kelly Oubre, Josh Richardson, Lonzo Ball (at least for our team), Harrison Barnes, and Dillon Brooks (is he still well thought of?).

I was more thinking overall, by fans and media around the country. Like Buddy Hield, or Goran Dragic, or (my favorite) Kyle Kuzma...

Most overrated At this moment? Blake overall. Blake Griffin is being viewed as the answer for the nets. I think he burns the place down.

Any other player other than Hood on the Blazers roster I'd rather have than Gordon.

Evan Turner had a higher AST% his two years in Boston than Gordon does now. In my opinion on a team that doesn't really push the ball in transition a lot Gordon would be an Evan Turner like player who can dunk instead of lay it in. On top of that I refuse to believe a player with the athletic ability Gordon has wouldn't be a lot better than he is unless he has a questionable work ethic. That might be unfair but I don't like players who have improved very little in their 7 seasons in the NBA.

I also believe that the problem isn't the "short roll" player at all. Sure, just like with the defense if you put a better player in that position he'll of course make plays occasionally that a lesser player wouldn't but overall in order to truly combat the problem I think they have to come up with a way to not have to use PnR as much, not look to pass back to Dame immediately if he still has two guys on him, and have schemes that attack with a 4-3 advantage. In the playoffs last year Stotts blamed Nurk for not "adjusting to playoff basketball" instead of addressing why it is he's being put in those positions.

Oh I forgot Kuz, lol. He's definitely up there.

I saw a conversation on Twitter before the draft that multiple people were saying they would take Lonzo Ball over any player in the draft. That was crazy to me. He's had stretches where he looks great but he also has stretches where he looks unplayable (like in the bubble).

Gordon defense stats is decent and rebounds around 7 game. He shoots 36 from the 3. Now by looking just at his stats is he the missing piece my answer no but could be a good piece my answer is yes. But I trade the farm him no. He get almost 12 shots a game right now to get his 13.5 average but the question is will he get that many attempt here in Portland playing along side Dame and CJ probably not. Our offense is base on guard play and the forward positions don't get many attempt majority of the games. Plus Gordon seems he always get hurt. If there a good trade to get him go for but I wouldn't give up no major pieces for him. He only have play 19 games this year.

is all this based on the premise that stotts would outlast Gordon here?

I don't think they trade him. I think he's one of the that aren't on the table.

I think Wood and Wall are both off limits.

A wing who can shoot. You mean like Nas?

i'm also curious to see how he'd fare with Dame as his PG. The best guard he has played with in his career has been DJ Augustin. Fultz was coming along this year but got hurt.

It's not often that I agree with you, but when I do...you probably want to rethink your position.

Seriously though, watching Nas play during the last few weeks has been eye-opening. The guy has a strong motor, is athletic as hell, and has developed a nice shooting stroke. His defense is a work in progress, to say the least, and he needs more experience to put everything together, but I feel like he is the Blazers' SF of the future.

I'm sure you're right, but they have lost 13 in a row without him, and Oladipo is not likely to re-sign. They seem like a hot mess. Injecting some youth isn't the worst idea...

Prediction: we're gonna talk for a couple weeks and then nothing will happen because Neil is happy with the roster as it is.
