@THE HCP I just read your facebook post about your new dog. Very cute. Congrats. But let me tell you one story... I used to live next door to this couple that were serious triathletes and were involved with a blue heeler rescue organization. They would foster blue heelers all the time and would take them with them when they trained. Blue Heelers are fucking nuts. Their energy and endurance are amazing. This couple would take them on miles-long runs and bike rides. You can not tire out a blue heeler. Also I've never seen a 6ft fence that a black lab couldn't jump over. A blue heeler / black lab mix is not a city dog. Maybe with a lot of obedience classes but that dog is going to require hours every day of exercise. I love dogs, I currently have a rescue pitbull and a pomeranian but I could not imagine owning a dog like you got. Your dog might be the most mellow of dogs and not anything like I just described but if he does, it's okay to find him a nice home in the country. Prediction: Your puppy will eat a couch within the first month.
