See what I think is that Rafer missed the city of Toronto, but did not miss the orginization and did not consider it when he came back. I think Rafer would go back to Miami in a second right now I hope he odes not retire he is finally getting it together. Toronto is starting to seem like a cell for NBA players everyone wants to get out of there.

This may seem really farfetch'd but, could Toronto be turning into the Clippers of 3 years ago, somewhere where players go to pad their stats, not to win. It seems a lot of players are becoming unhappy up there...this is just a very wild thought I thought of? Anyone else see this possibly happening?

I agree that the locker room is divided though, but Rafer seems to like Rose since he always gives him the ball, and I feel bad for Rafer when he runs the break and no one runs with him and fills the lanes consistently except Woods. Carter, Bosh and Jalen just kinda jog down the court most of the time.

I wonder who's padding their stats on the team...

No, I don't think it's even close, the closest player to padding their stats on the team right now would be Jalen Rose, and his contract lasts for what another three years, so players don't come here to pad their stats, just that Rafer feels some people are only into getting their's. Rafer was just frustrated, but he handled the situation badly.

I believe Alston was in those cuffs after violating his parole. He beat up his ex-girlfriend and was required to do some anger-management course but then he entered the nba draft which was in violation of his parole. I think that pic was taken back in '99 when he starting playing for the Bucks.

ok it wasnt you saying it i guess....it must of been in a different thread...but somebody said they saw it and he just rolled it to the other side of the court while he was on the bench.

not sure if it deserves a "[IMG]" but....mm....k

i always thought rafer played on the edge and i guess he lives on the edge. beating up girlfriend is horrible and beating up the neighbours is funny. rafer, rafer, this kind of irrational behaviour might be a pattern.

Yea, it was out of frustration. Here's the article:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Less than 24 hours after declaring he was ready to give up basketball and leave the NBA entirely, Alston said he was still upset and frustrated and hurt, but that he would stay with the team ? as requested by head coach Sam Mitchell and GM Rob Babcock ? to try to work through this rough patch.

"Rob and Sam came to me before the game and said they weren't going to allow anybody any time off, that we're all in this together, we're going to work hard and we're going to turn this thing around," Alston said after coming off the bench to lead the Raptors with 20 points and 10 assists.</div>
