He did a while ago, but Rondo has clearly won the job. He has clearly outplayed Delonte (as a <u>point guard</u>), and the things he brings to the table just can't be matched by any other guard on this team. Besides, before Pierce sat down 4-5 games ago, Rondo was starting at the 1 with West at the 2 (where he should be), Pierce at the 3.

First of all, Rondo is a very heady player. Second of all, Steve Nash is 3rd in the league in turnovers (3.9 a game).

Yeah but Nash also gets 11.5 Assists. His turnovers come because of the type of offense the Suns play. Rondo's team (Boston) plays a much slower pace and his assists to turnover ratio is higher.

I've seen him a few times this year, and wow....this is kid is just amazing, you guys were right. His court vision is unbelievable, he is so quick and athletic, and he is a great defensive PG for a rookie too. He may lead the league in steals some day, he's got such quick hands, and he can also rebound. He can do so many things that PGs usually can not do..If he can develop a jumpshot he is going to be an AMAZING pg...

Doesn't matter. The statement above was that "he gets too many turnovers to be a top point guard" and all I did was prove that even the best point guard in the league turns the ball over more than most players in the NBA. To say that Rondo commits too many turnovers to be a successful player is ridiculous.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rondo gets too many turnovers to be a top 5 PG</div>All of the great players in the league usually have a good amount of turnovers. The year Iverson won MVP I think he was averaging like 4 TO's a game. It just goes with the territory.

IF he has the work ethic and desire to improve then for sure he's a keeper.too many players have a good 1st year and rest on the laurels or do a bit and think it's enough because they've arrived.Derron Williams didn't think that and look at the monster 2nd year he is having. Of course, spending part of your summer with John Stockton will do that for you.Rondo has been an impressive rookie and has a lot of the skills needed to be successful. Here's hoping he works on them this summer.could see him being similar to TJ Ford with a bit more polish and if his jumper does become reliable, he can be better than Ford.

It is pretty unknown where Rondo will land amongst these other future great PG's. Rajon has proven that he will be putting up Jason Kidd like numbers in the future but does he compare to the likes of Paul and Williams. It is hard to tell, Paul was asked to take the Hornets franchise on his back and rather than falling succeded in giving New Orleans a great second half of his rookie year. Deron Williams spent time with a great Utah PG which is something I believe Rajon could benefit from before his sophomore season. Rondo wasn't expected to get heavy minutes however he has earned them near the end of this year and proven that he deserves them just as CelticBalla said. You can't look at Rondo's numbers and then compare it to TJ/Williams/Paul's you also have to realize how valuable he could be to a squad with his great court vision. I could see him being up there with Williams/Paul when they are all in their primes.
