I did a little bit of research and my inability to sleep can be classified as "Delayed sleep-phase syndrome (DSPS)". Basically, "People with DSPS tend to fall asleep at very late times, and also have difficulty waking up in the morning". "Attempting to force oneself through 9?5 life with DSPS has been compared to constantly living with 6 hours of <font color="#0000ff">jet lag</font>. Often, sufferers manage only a few hours sleep a night during the working week, then compensate by sleeping until the afternoon on weekends. Sleeping in on weekends, and/or taking long naps during the day, gives people with the disorder relief from daytime sleepiness but also perpetuates the late sleep phase." <div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I cured my insomnia by staying up all night and the next day. I was in bed by 10PM the next evening and that worked in the long run as long as I avoided staying up late again.</div> Since you slept at 10 pm after not sleeping for basically alsmot 2 days, didn't you wake up REALLY late the next morning or afternoon? If I did that I wouldn't wake up until around 3 in the afternoon the next day. What time did you wake up?
I woke up around 8AM and the next night went to bed around 9PM and slept until 7AM to make up for sleep that was lost.
Karma, I'm guessing your seeking advice. I'd recommend doing a few things: 1. If you are waking up earlier, you need something to do when you wake up. If you have no reason to wake up early, you probably will have less incentive to do it. 2. Even if you think you won't be able to sleep at 11 PM, or whatever, go to sleep an hour or two later, but get 1 1/2 hours less sleep. Do that for a few days, and you might accumulate a bit of tiredness to go to sleep at 11 PM, and make sure you don't sleep in. 3. Ask a person to wake you up in the morning, and make an agreement with that person that you will get up, and that you will not get mad at them. 4. Make a rule that you will not turn on a TV, or Computer past 11 PM, if you have nothing to do, you are more likely to actually try falling asleep. 5. Try reading in bed, the physical inactivity can help get you into a half-dazed sleep. Trying to change your sleep cycle over a span of a week is easier than doing it in a span of 2 days.
Forcing yourself to bed when you're not tired often always ends up in less sleep. If you're not really feeling tired you shouldn't be going to bed. The real problem usually exists in believing there are more things to do, even if there isn't. If you can't afford to take the sleepless night option because of school, work, other, then don't. Your best bet is to do as Skip put that you should give yourself things to do in the morning. Is there anywhere you could go that's important or meet with other people that enjoy the early morning? Also, losing any sleep isn't good unless you can make up for it during the week ahead. You should always have eight hours of rest because in the long run it helps you live a longer and healthier life. More details would also help me determine what would be the best road to take on this issue you have.
Been saving up my money, and I'm getting a discount, I'm getting a PS3 on Tuesday. Any ideas on what games I should get?
Gamespot Here Legacy, this website has all the top games for PS3. There aren't to many out yet, but there should be more.
I dont know why, but I am not all that interested in XBOX 360 and PS3. One system that has interested me is the Nintendo Wii. It looks pretty cool to play and everything. I am planning on saving up some money and getting one later on if its possible.

I was at NY this weekend for a birthday party and one of the servers looked exactly like Joakim Noah (with the hairstyle and bucked up teeth and all). I took a picture of him, so when he's out of the league in 5 years, I can sell the picture to ESPN for one of their "Where are they now?" features.
I just made flat iron steaks for my dad and it was the best tasting steak i've ever had. It was marinated in lime and chilis and whatnot but it was so tender and flavorful. Apparently it's supposed to be the 2nd most tender cut of meat besides tenderloin. I recommend it.
Aight so I'm getting a Wii as soon as the local EBGames gets stock. Anyone with a Wii recommend any games?
I dont have a Wii.. but my friend has one. I recommed you get a boxing game and the tennis game. Dont know what they're called but I think they only have like one of those.

It's 4:38 AM and I've been up all night doing a business summative assignment that's taking forever to finish. I should have started MUCH earlier but I was busy with a bunch of different things so I started sometime Sunday afternoon and this is the consequence. Thank God my exams end on Wednesday. On the other hand, I have a summative presentation for another class at 8 in the morning tommorow, and I haven't even started on that These next 12 hours should be fun.
