Now some international leagues might be able to somewhat compete with the NBA in the future, but the NBA will be the most dominant league for decades at least.</div>
Astros have just fired GM Tim Purpura and Manager Phil Garner................all I have to say is................it's about damn time...Garner has always been a BAD manager but he had the players to make up for his idiotic decisions when we went to the World Series in '05 and Purpura has made some bad moves (trading away Willy Taveras) also.......... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It doesn't matter if he is a reckless runner or not, the pounding takes it's toll. The law of averages is against him. And if he doesn't take risks while running, he'll just be a 300-400 yard rushing Qb tops in the future. Some QBs are just injury prone, but there is a greater rate of injury in running QBs. You can't name a single great running QB that hasn't been significantly affected by injuries, not one. The most consistent runner not affected by injuries was probably John Elway, but like I say, he was just a 200-300 rushing yard per year guy which Vince is not.</div> I was just about to bring up Elway, but I'm a believer that injuries can happen to anyone while playing football...especially a quarterback. Kurt Warner went through a rough stretch where he had to put up with injuries...Stan Humphries had to quit because of injuries...all it takes is one hit and that can happen in the pocket or when running......and I really don't consider Mcnabb, Young (vince and steve), etc. a "running" QB like Mike Vick because they're much wiser in choosing their spots...but I think VY will be fine I like "I Get Money" by 50 Cent................the video is very entertaining to me....I'm going to go DL that song now.............."Obey King 50"
<div class="quote_poster">shapecity Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">FIBA basketball > NBA basketball</div> Amen to that. I just love the smarter play, passing to the cutters and player movement. That's what I like what Toronto is doing; bringing in international players that will have an effect on how the team plays as a whole. As for the money issue, yeah, NBA basketball has a lot more money involved in it, but at least in my eyes, there is a clear difference in fan support. As with many sports in Europe, the fans are very passionate and loyal to their teams, and that sort of stuff spreads easily. So if they could just market the sport better, teams could probably get many more supporters.

Considering that number of fans they don't have any trouble spending 100 million dollars per season on footballer transfers alone. They don't release information on true price range on player contracts, but we can only imagine. International domestic leagues will never compete with the NBA unless the league folds. That is never going to happen. However, Euroleague is powerful and many of the big clubs are getting more and more into the sport since 2001. Real Madrid have once stated years ago that this sport is in line with priorities with their football club. A bit of BS for the fans IMO, but when you take a look at their history they really can't complain. In your quote of Kobimel you stated that you doubt the NBA will lose quality players to European clubs in 3 to 5 years. I doubt that as well, however, in 10 to 20 years, quite likely a yes. Unless the NBA changes things they will be overtaken by the Euroleague, moneywise now and eventually by fan numbers. European sports in general are becomming more and more popular in the United States and Canada and can easily be viewed on television. At first you had to pay big money to see European sports, no longer. When the European version of the game becomes more popular overseas then you can expect players to start flooding there. This is because once these clubs reach a certain point they will invest a ton more money into their product. Far more then they already do. For instance CSKA Moscow already pay big money to a few players that would earn little in the NBA. 10 million over three years is quite big for a player who would earn less then 1 million per year. This is where their big money comes in from different aspects, so it is not a misleading statement. When Real Madrid and dozens of other clubs offer the NBA and their teams hundreds of millions for popular players, will they turn down the offer? Of course they won't. Just don't expect that to happen during LeBron James' era. Also just to note, the atmosphere in the European game is bar none. Panathinaikos for instance have the same type of atmosphere you would find at a big-time European football match. Sold out arenas every night with team songs and chants ringing throughout. Truly inspiring. <div class="quote_poster">Bahir Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">As for the money issue, yeah, NBA basketball has a lot more money involved in it, but at least in my eyes, there is a clear difference in fan support. Also, you only see that type of similar atmosphere in North America in cities like Chicago and Toronto among very few others.

For some reason, despite having a sh!tty past couple weeks and start of my senior year of high school...I feel like I can do anything right now. I guess some things just happen for a reason, and a slap in the face has basically just woke me up out of just being content with what I'm doing. One of my friends is about to leave for basic training (Air Force), and he is going to let me use his studio mic while he is gone for six weeks. I'm feeling real hungry.
My first day of school was very shi**y. I dont even have classes with 2 of the 3 girls I like, and the other one I liked graduated. No more spittin game, and I got some boring ass teachers. And its my senior year, I think after 1st semester, im gonna stop giving a f***. Im just hoping it was this first day that was bad

I just want to get senior year over with and move on. I really only have to worry about the first semester too, after that I should have a good idea where I'll be going to college. They say it goes by extremely fast, so heres to hoping they're right.
lol, I'm trying help one of my friends friend (who is gay) find a boyfriend, and he is going to help me try and find a girlfriend, lol. Only problem is, I dont know any gay guys lmao, talk about bad choice of words in this Yahoo! Sports article: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">But the Mexicans, <u>who sneaked into the second round</u> through a three-team tiebreaker, outplayed their more talented counterparts for much of the next two periods before the U.S. put them away for good late in the third.</div>
LOL the other day I was bored so I wrote up some lyrics. At the same time my friend was making a mashup where he takes the acapella of one song and puts it on another beat and he asked me if i wanted to record what I had to put as a verse on it. So the song turned out to be Jay-Z's Encore verse and some whack verse I wrote up on the Stronger Beat by Kanye. The voice quality is really bad because I didnt have a real mic or anything but I'll post it later if you guys want to hear.
