Lol when I was a freshman, the older guys were cool and left us alone.

I don't know what to say, if it's one of your older friends I don't think they'll do any serious harm.

Highschool starts in grade 9 there? Here highschool starts at grade 10. But yeah since he's an old friend, I'm sure he won't do anything too bad. Maybe just a wall-beating. But so far from what I've seen, highschools alot funner than Jr. High. More slack, more freedom and what not.

Holy shiz, work sucks! This is my first job and my first day was today and man, it was just too overwhelming. I gotta remember what kind of different meats look what so I can pack them, all that stuff looks the same man. Plus, I'm working with these old veteran guys who've probably been working there for a while. All the kids my age are up front doing register, while I'm in the back in the meat department freezing my ass off. Sorry for the whining, but yo... F Stop & Shop. I'm gonna see if someone else is hiring, hopefully Barnes & Nobles, or maybe Dick's sporting goods.

High school was great. I didn't realize it at the time, but I had a lot of fun in high school and now all my friends are scattered all throughout the country. You should definitely try to do well in high school but enjoy it while it lasts. High school is the only time when you can do stuff and not get into any real trouble. College is pretty much total freedom. No teachers/parents telling you what to do, but you also have to take responsibility. For example, there's an English paper I have to do by Thursday that requires me to do a lot of research, flip through books, and all that boring stuff. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have done a solid job back in high school, but now that I'm in college that wouldn't be smart--especially financially.

That "initiation" thing is called "Freshman Friday" here in the states. Basically, all the freshman get beat up on the first Friday. I didn't and was never really worried about that, especially since I knew some upperclassmen that went to my middle school before. The only thing I can advise is not to roll alone and hang around your upperclassmen friends if you have any.

Things never happened to me at school last year when I was a freshman, but the bus is a different story. Me and a couple of my freshman friends would get paper thrown at us, water, pencils, anything you could possibly imagine. lol

Hey guys... just checking in from down here at Tulane, letting you know I'm still alive...

I've been MIA with the start of classes. It's been a lot of waking up at 5 to go to the gym after going to bed shitfaced at 4:30 then having classes all day. It's exhausting and hasn't given me much JBB time.

When I stop working out with the team and when I get further into the swing of things here though, I'll be back full-time most likely.

Thanks Brian, and if any of you HS'ers are looking for a party school, look at Tulane. Michigan has a party rep, but it's really got nothing on Tulane. It's insane down here, you don't even want to know. [IMG]

Haha, there's actually a guy outside of my window now with a keg. He's running for some sort of local office, and he's giving everyone free beer if they register to vote. How ****** up is that? I love it though.

That's nothing - people in my school threw hockey pucks, those orange police cones, steel garbage cans. In fact, one put mayonnaise and salad dressing on a pizza and threw at someone. The student just said "why did you do that? [IMG]" I felt bad for him though. Another time when it was summer we had water balloons and one of my friends threw it at a guy on a bike delivering Chinese food. He was hit, fell off his bike and messed up the whole order. He started dialing a number (I'm pretty sure it was the cops) so we all left. Afterwards there was someone else who got a can of Arizona thrown at him.

Man, those were the days! But Brian, you did throw something back at them, right?

My first day is going to be tomorrow, since I missed school today. It's going to be a real mess trying to find out where I can pick-up my Program card. That means, I have to come to school 40 mins before first period begins. Uh, I just hate school, man. Junior Year is going to blow.

School wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. In some classes, I have a lot of friends and in some I barely know anyone. But its all good though, school overall is pretty good.

First few weeks quickly remind me that I have 9 more months left of school.

I'm so tired from my trip, that I'm just about to fall asleep. Of course with my luck, I still have a couple of things to do around my house. Oh, the horror.

Yo, I got a serious writer's block. I've been staring at a near-blank page for like an hour. What do I do?

Well, most of the times when they threw stuff at us, we'd just throw it right back. That basically caused havoc on the bus, but the bus driver never did anything for some reason. It would just be war, people would start throwing things at random people and stuff. Crazy. I remember we had a food fight on the bus too. It actually wasn't really a food fight, it was sauce fights. Everyone would grab the barbecue sauce, ketchup, and mayonnaise packets from lunch and bring them onto the bus, and we used to open them up and throw them at each other. I don't really know what happened to everyone in the end, because me a my friends started carpooling to get away from all that crap. But now that you look back at it, it was pretty funny. lol
