<div class="quote_poster">Voodoo Child Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What do you mean by permanent though? A permanent panic attack?</div>

lol, nah, that would be hell, lol. I mean like, I dunno if that will happen every time I do it now or not, I dont think it will, but I'll find out soon enough I guess. My friend gets panic attacks after smoking up sometimes, but she told me she is going to stop, so hopefully she does.

I had my job interview today, seems pretty easy, just printing and scanning things and the like using these high tech kickass printers and scanners, get to use Photoshop and some other Graphic programs, so that should be good, hopefully could lead to a career in the graphics field (which is what I've always wanted). They said they'll probally call me back in next week to meet the boss as he is overseas right now, but they told me I'm their first preference, so fingers crossed [IMG]

You know I always read about those crazy fundamentalist Christians that think "Harry Potter" is the work of the devil, but it was so hard to believe that there was a significant number of people who think that way. Turns out that 3 out of the 4 people who border my cubicle actually believe that and they're currently discussing it. I usually tune everybody out and listen to my mp3 player at work, but this is too entertaining. Their conversation is peppered with quotes from the Bible and everything.

I recommend you quit talking to her immediately. She is your ex for a reason and nothing good is going to come out of it. You just got of highschool, this is your time to date and explore all kinds of different girls. Be a manwhore and figure out what you like and don't like in a girl.

The only reason she's talking to you is.

    A) She's bored.
[IMG] She needs a shoulder to cry on and get her own confidence back at your expense.
    C) She heard you're starting to date again and she's jealous and curious what the other girl looks like.

That kobe vid is bs. The guy who is counting the uncontested and contested is an idiot. A ton of those kobe made a great move on to get the easy shot. And in the beginning he counts a fadeaway with a guy RIGHT on him as uncontested. Its just stupid

Oddly enough, she has a man now and they've been dating for a while; he's actually one of my friends (not tight, but we've never had a problem). The wierd thing is that she approached me first in all this, I actually didn't plan to talk to her and she had previously blocked and deleted me on msn but she re-added me again recently to talk.

So, I'm guessing it's A) because [IMG] and C) don't really apply and I'm definetly not down for [IMG]. There's no way I'm going to get close enough to her or let her get close enough to me to that point again. As for being a manwhore, don't worry about that part, I plan on exploring my options very widely next year [IMG]

    Edit:

To add, take it for what it's worth, but I have this horoscope option on Facebook and this one day we talked on msn for a while and it was saying the exact same thing you're saying: "Someone you were close to before will re-enter your life. Remember why he/she left in the first place and move on." Or somehting to that extent. It was actually pretty freaky.

I really need to find a job. Who's worked through an agency here? Any luck on getting a job that's NOT a factory/warehouse?

^^ Good man. She's probably having issues with her current boyfriend and doesn't have anyone else to talk to about it. She sounds like a nutcase to me.

I'd recommend you apply for a job at the bank for a legal office. You might not have any career abitions for either, but having that on your resume gives you a lot of credibility and gets you in the door for other places. Getting a job at the bank is easy, they're always looking for new bank tellers.

He just graduated high school, and yes you can get a job at the bank when you're still in high school (at least in Cali you can). You just need a student work permit.

There are agencies that specialize in finding office jobs, but most of the ones in Brampton end up leading to a factory job (there are so many warehouses here). Most of the office jobs send out there applications earlier in the year and they fill their student positions around April/May. I'd try the banks like shape said: they're always hiring.

You probably have to be at least 18 though and if someone else is older and probably more qualified then I don't think you'd get the job. Kind of depends what the job is, how much experience and stuff you have.

I know people who've worked in offices at 16 years old and they had great jobs that paid really well but usually they got it from friends or their siblings had the job but went to college so the company set up the younger sibling for the same job. Its really hard to get a job like that unless you're doing it under the table and/or for someone who you know or your parents know who hooked you up with the job. Most people my age (17) who don't have those connections who I know work at grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants, local swimming pools, clothing stores, etc. I've been looking for a non-grocery store/drug store and non-restaurant/food job for a long time now and they're hard to come by unless you're 18. Until then I'm just racking up experience at a crappy drug store stocking and cashiering.

You live in the Bay Area right? What part? I could pass your resume out to some people I know at Wells Fargo or BofA and see if they can get you hooked up.

I had a job with an office company and they hired alot of people through an agency called Spherion. And the Spherion people made a dollar more an hour than me and got paid every week.

Well, I'm planning to get into the law field so a job at a legal office would GREATLY help. However, from all the people I know who work in legal offices, they are all GIRLS. I don't know if they hire males for legal secratary type positions but I think I would do a good job in it. I mean, one of my friends got hired to type up legal documents and what not, and she's a really bad typer and on top of that, can't spell properly. I just want to work for a lawyer, that would greatly help me. Unfortunetly, those jobs are hard to find.

Yeah, that's what my cousin was saying too. He said the YMCA agency lands you non-factory jobs though and after having worked at a factory in grade 9 (bad experience) and 2 fast-food/food jobs, I don't want to work at a food place at all. I would kill for an office job, even though it is probably quite boring.

I was talking about this the other day with Moo2k4, I was telling him how much more you can make in a position over here, when I was 18, I dropped out of High School and I was making AUD$17.50 (that's USD$14.80) an hour working in a Factory, real easy work too, just picking orders and putting away stock. You could make more than that probally in your standard office job too.

Man, how good does it feel to come off a really intense workout? I've been running a little and lifting some weights for the past couple months after being inactive for a long time. But today I really pushed myself and just sprinted hard on the treadmill for 45 minutes. Felt like I was going to pass out after 20 minutes and the really great thing is that the last 15 or so minutes was just pure effort. I had no energy left in me. When I got off, I initially felt like throwing up, but after cooling off and showering I feel awesome. I'll probably be a little sore tomorrow but I'm full of adrenaline right now.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Karma:</div><div class="quote_post">Well, I'm planning to get into the law field so a job at a legal office would GREATLY help. If you can get a job in a legal office then that's a crazy opportunity. If you can't though (like me), try landing a summer job at the Government (of Ontario or Canada). There are some good student positions out there if you start looking early in February/March (Ministry of Attorney-General, of Citizenship/Immigration, of Labour, Ontario Legal Aid, etc.) and they all provide some decent legal experience. I started a little later this year and wound up in the Ministry of Small Businesses and Entrepreneurship, doing corporate legal paperwork. It's repetitive and I don't intend to go into corporate law, but it looks good on the resume and does give me some decent exposure to Canadian law (had to read a few chapters of the Ontario Business Corporations Act before I could even start). Its too late for this summer, because all the positions are filled up already, but I can PM you the site that I went through if you want to try for next summer.

If a skinny person were to run/jog constantly, would that hinder from thier weight gaining? Or would they simply be gaining endurance/toning? I want to run more to increase my endurance for soccer and basketball but I really wanna start gaining some pounds starting this summer as well. I don't know if it's such a good idea to be endurance training at this point.

I actually looked into the government jobs, but I realized I looked a little too late (April) because I couldn't find any vacant spots for Brampton from the site that I looked. Next year I'll be sure to start looking earlier. Honestly, I don't care how boring the office jobs are, as long as it pads my resume, that's all that matters. It's not like working for a fast food place with customers bitching about not having enough mayo or asking me to reheat thier nacho sauce is any more fun, right? But yeah, I'd greatly appreciate if you could link me the site anyway, I'll be sure to do it quicker next year. Thanks for the heads up man.
