Re: Random Thought Thread lol, dude, its not that simple. The internet is a great tool for picking up, meeting chicks. I've done it twice, before, both girls are now dear friends of mine, but its much easier than if you were to say go up to a chick in a club, not that I'm a pussy, I hit on lots of chicks in clubs, but they're usually much harder to crack when you approach them in a situation like that. I cant be fucked playing games and shit. The internet is a good ice breaker, because it starts out casually, and when you finally decide to meet up, you're both actually excited to meet one another for the first time, you know a bit about the other person (so you know what to talk about) and there is no approach anxiety (not that I get it doing it face to face). I dunno what its like over there, maybe chicks are alot easier, but asking my friend to tell her that I want to meet up with her at a party wouldnt get me anywhere, other than her probably thinking I'm a serial rapist or somthing. </p> I'm talking to her now, she has a bf apparentley, but oh well. I'm happy being friends, she seems like a nice girl, we got stuff in common, so yeah...</p>
Re: Random Thought Thread I don't want to make this seem that I'm basing general opinions on this single situation, but I feel that you're more likely to enter the friend-zone by meeting via online-chat. Afterall, I'd be worried that hitting on a girl online...has a creepy connotation.</p> Meeting girls in a club takes special social skills, namely mastering small talk: stupid conversation starters that two strangers can talk about, but wouldn't even think about in the normal routine. Check out "The Pick-Up Artist" on vh1 to see what I mean, or read David Strauss' "The Game."</p>
