Re: Random Thought Thread A while back, remember I told you i had problems with this Math teacher ...and that I thought she didn't me. Well I went to her classto finish a test, and LOL...while I was taking it, she said, you need any help, you want the answers!? I thought she was joking, so in a joking way I said Yes...and LOL she gave me the answer key!

Re: Random Thought Thread shapecity-- although I am not a JBB member, I appreciate the things you're doing. It's great for the site, and I'd like to see all these new guys from JBB stay here and get familiar with them. If I knew all you hadda do was ask for the answer key, I woulda done it last week before I took my calc test!

Re: Random Thought Thread Man I wish my Math teacher gave me the answers to a few of the Calculus test we have I keep failing them.

Re: Random Thought Thread
QUOTE (Dark Hero)

Man I wish my Math teacher gave me the answers to a few of the Calculus test we have I keep failing them.

Calculus can be tough, but what helped me was working through problems in reverse so you understand each step and why it's necessary for each one to reach the answer. Having a patient math teacher helps a lot too. I've always found math teachers to be the least understanding throughout all my classes. There's no middle ground, they are either the best and very good at teaching the subject, or the absolute worst at teaching math and just going through motions of getting a paycheck and rushing through a semester.

Re: Random Thought Thread My Math teacher in 7th and 8th was the best teacher ever. Taught so well, admitted when he was wrong, and tried his best to make math fun. He was also really funny.Made fun of the Mets too. Told us a story about, when we was on jury duty, and guy was suing another older guy, because he got hit by his car. Turned out the young one was on crack, drunk, and hit him in the back with his bike at a stop sign.
He also had a videogame store, were you go to chill, and play computer and console games. Freaking awesome.

Re: Random Thought Thread My first calculus teacher taught by osmosis. He'd just stand near me and I understood the math. Really! I mean we all studied and went to class where he taught us, but there were a number of occaisions during tests or placement tests where people swore they were stuck on a problem and he'd just walk by and the problem became clear.

Except it wasn't the teacher. It was kids talking about the test after class right by me

Did your teacher have a distinct body odor? LOL

Re: Random Thought Thread
QUOTE (NTC)

Maaan, the Rave last night was THE SHIT! My favourite hardstyle DJ The Prophet (one of the best in the world) is down here at the moment, and he played, was crazy. Wasnt as packed as I thought it would be, but still real wicked. I spent the whole night hooking up with one of my friends too, crazy times, finger fucked her on the dance floor and at the booth and then she gave me a hand job. I was holding her up pinned against the wall making out with her at one stage too, haha, was awesome. Came very close to fucking her at the booth, which would've been the stuff of legends, lol, and a fantasy of mine I've always wanted to fulfill (doing a girl in a nightclub) . I had one and a half pills, so I was pretty happy needless to say, haha. I took some pics and videos, i'll post them tomorrow when I get home.

Re: Random Thought Thread Also you're better off learning calculus rather than getting the easy way out. Not knowing how to do this math will come back to haunt you in future tests, and perhaps down the line in college. Study up young man!

Re: Random Thought Thread The secret to Calculus is Ti-89 Titanium.....
Its pretty easy. The only problem is that our book is such a piece of trash. All of the examples, etc. are useless. They will be showing an example for one thing....and then that thing isn't even in the problems.
I have an A right now. Once I figure out how to do osmething, I pretty much get it down on lock down, and can just abuse that to all ends. I created my own types of proof last year in pre-calc....but my teacher was too narrow minded to accept that, even though it clearly proved it.
