<div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Well, I just checked nbadraft.net and they put up their 2008 mock already. They have Batum at pick #3 and Mayo at #4. If Batum improves, expect him to hit #1 on that list in the future. If you've ever been able to watch him play, the dude is sick as hell.</div> NBADraft.Net is crap. IMO, it's gotta be Mayo #1, Batum #2. I actually saw them both play live in Memphis against eachother not too long ago, and both dominated their respective competition, Mayo just probably moreso. A lot of people were quick to jump all over Mayo after his poor McDonald's All-American game, but then he went on to dominate both the Hoops Summit (6-12 FG, 20 pts, 3 rbs, 4 asts, 2 stls in 21 minutes) and the Roundball Classic (11-18 FG, 5-10 3pt, 27 pts, 3 rbs, 6 asts, 2 stls in 26 minutes). Usually I can't stand point guards who are more of scorers than distributers, but Mayo's got a lot more talent than the typical point guard in that mold. He's on the level of a Gilbert Arenas or an Allen Iverson. Actually, all things considered, next year's draft won't be so bad. It's got a stronger lottery as a whole than this year's. Even though the very top of this year's draft (meaning Oden/Durant) is a million times stronger than the top of next year's draft, the overall quality of the lottery is a lot better. The talent doesn't drop off from the #1 pick to the #14 pick the way it does this year. I'm just doing this off the top of my head and on the fly, but I guess my lotto for next year would look like this: <font size=""1""><div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">1) O.J. Mayo (USC) 2) Nicolas Batum (France) 3) Derrick Rose (Memphis) 4) Michael Beasley (K-State) 5) Darrell Arthur (Kansas) 6) Chase Budinger (Arizona) 7) Brook Lopez (Stanford) 8) Roy Hibbert (Georgetown) 9) Darren Collison (UCLA) 10) Eric Gordon (Indiana) 11) DaJuan Summers (Georgetown) 12) Donte Greene (Syracuse) 13) Gerald Henderson (Duke) 14) Wayne Ellington (UNC)</div></font> BTW - Mamba, you went out last night too? I'm just getting home, hahahahaha.
I agree nbadraft.net is crap, but that's the only place I could find that has a mock draft up for 2008 already. Personally, I don't get why do it now? Anyway, as for Batum, I've been watching him for two years now in Europe. I mentioned that if he improves and puts on weight, expect him at #1. If he's still the same weight and (though likely not) the same skill level then, I would expect him somewhere in the top 10, perhaps 3 through 5 because that's where he's at right now compared to the talent that will likely enter next year's draft. There is also plenty of crazy talent brewing back over at the Pau-Orthez camp in the Pyr?n?es region. We may be able to expect up to four French players in the first round next season with likely two of those being in the lottery. Seems crazy, but that region of France (who have also produced Diaw and Pietrus among others) are quite into basketball. Another local city named Tarbes, where I stay at most of the time, have the best women's basketball team I've ever seen.
Yesterday I officially graduated and got my diploma today. It's crazy... I'm really am gonna miss all the good times with my friends. After graduation I was gonna get something to eat and I saw Mark Jackson - former ROY, current commentator on the Nets. It was funny I was saying to myself this guy kinda looks like Mark Jackson. Then my cousin said "Yo, is that Mark Jackson?" Then we called him out and I took a picture with him.
Paris Hilton is coming on Larry King Live in like 30 minutes. I've got another date with the girl I dated about a week ago, but she wants to go out tomorrow, on draft night... not sure how to feel about that one actually.

You can always record the draft and watch it later when you get back or the next day. Then if you have a solid relationship going in the future you'll always feel good thinking back that you gave up one of your favorite passions for that one date that helped take everything a step further.

I live for stuff like March Madness and the draft... I'll probably just tell her I can't meet her until later tomorrow, like after the draft is over with, lol... I'm not that serious about her anyway... she's a cool chick, but I've already hooked up with two girls since our last date, so it's not like I'm in a relationship with her already... just kinda enjoy hanging out w/her... really not ready for anything serious anyway, I'm too immature... *15 minutes until Paris Hilton on Larry King. This should be interesting.
I'm the same way as you with the Draft, but anyway, I can understand passing it up if you don't think it is going to be anything really serious. If you're going to be on here during Draft night stick around in the Bulls forum. We're going to have a live draft thread going. * listens to Sigur R?s *

Nobody on JustBBall would say, "Nah, sorry. I'm out of your league." You know what I mean?
