LOL. The Bulls always beat my expectations, so I'm not that upset about the slow start.

But for real, the Celtics are pretty amazing. Their team point differential is +16.3 before drubbing the Nets tonight. Second in the league is San Antonio at 10.2, and they finished at 8.4 last season - best in the league.

+16.3 is a very dominant number.

And yeah, the Bulls will get beat pretty badly by the Celtics, too.

    You've been betting haven't you???

No, I haven't been betting. But I did predict the Hawks would break out this season.

I'm eager to see how the Celts do against improved competition. They've looked dominant as hell so far this season but have faced easy teams and in that overtime win against the Raptors, they looked very beatable.

That's what everyone seems to say. They don't want to be sold on the Celt, until they play like this against western conference teams. i personally think they up there with any team from the West except for maybe San Antonio. thats a game I'm very eager to watch!

Well its a fair assessment isn't it? The main concern everyone's had is over their depth and the one team that could really attack that weakness made a game out of it. All of their other competition has either had slow starts or are just not good enough.

But chutney thats what everyone will say, the first game we lose, everyone will jump and say that we're beatable. Well every team is beatable, its just that we're the best team right now in the East. (if not the whole league)

Anything can happen, like an injury and things will change but so far they've proven everyone wrong. I'm sure no one predicted us to start 7-0. Not even us Celtics fans predicted that.

Bulls aren't in that bad of a position right now.

The West has been pretty much been whooping the East so far this year. Then, outside of the Celtics, there has been a lot of parity within the conference so far. Orlando is 7-2 now I think...thats nice, but they started hot last year.

Pistons could be 5-3 after tonight (losing to the Warriors). This puts the Bulls 5.5 games out of first, 4.5 games away from the 2nd seed, 3 games back on the division/3rd seed, and 2 games back on homecourt advantage in the playoffs....1.5 games out of the playoffs.

For as bad of a start as the Bulls have had, they are still in a decent position. All the games for the rest of the month are winnable. I think the Bulls will begin to bounce back here, winning 3 in a row, making a statement game against Phoenix, and the LA games shouldn't be too tough (we traditionally play Phoenix and Lakers welll....). Loss to Denver, beat the Knicks, lose to T-Dot, and beat the Hawks to round off the month.

6-7 to end the month, and it could be a hell of a lot worse. Gordon will probably have one 40 point game in one of the rest of the games this month (Phoenix probably), and another 30 point game (NYK) leading us to victory.

I think if the Bulls can escape 5-8 this month (going 4-3 the rest out), I'd be happy...then go on their normal December run.

I didn't mean to imply that I don't think Boston's good or anything. I think they're very good and I agree they're the best in the East. But I find all the hyperbole (eg: Simmons prediction) to be a bit short-sighted. They haven't proven anything to me that I didn't already know (namely that KG, Pierce, and Allen are a dangerous trio).

No I know what you meant Chutney. [IMG]

But a lot of other guys not just here but at other forums, and sports analysts kept saying we have no bench, our Trio are old, we are hyped etc and so far they've all been proven wrong.

Seems like the Nets might be one of the teams that could beat the Celtics on any given game night. But after tonight, you wonder if they had Vince if it would have been competitive.
