Eh...either way, I put my support behind Bynum in the GM draft. I wanted the Bulls to trade for a pick to get Sean Williams. Dammit Pax.</div>

My love for Sean Williams is more about entertainment value than anything else.

I mean sure, he can change a game defensively completely...but right now, he's being outplayed by the other young big man on the team.

Of course, he's still bringing the most entertaining blocks and dunks in the league (next to Dwight Howard's).

They're both bad, but people are acting as if Bynum is better or has more potential than all the other young big men around, like Bogut, Jefferson, Oden, Kaman, Aldridge, etc., when he's nowhere near most of their levels. That annoys the hell out of me. It seems as if Nets fans have more perspective.

Their logic annoys the hell out of me too. 12.5 ppg, 10.1 rpg as a 20 year old = 35 ppg, 20 rpg as a 30 year old! No. First of all, it's only a quarter of the season in, secondly, plenty of players have statlines that stagnate (albeit plenty of players don't have the advantage of playing with Kobe Bryant), and lastly, a lot of his success is situational. Throw Andrew Bogut to the Lakers and put Bynum on the Bucks, and I swear Bynum would be watching Bogut in the All-Star game from the unemployment line (exaggeration to make a point).

F*ck the hype over Bynum. Even THIS thread has turned into a Bynum thread. Ridiculous.

I understand that he's talented. I understand that he's young. I understand that he's in the second biggest media market in the US. What I don't understand is why Laker fans overrate him and push him on everyone who could really give a shit less about the kid. The thread I had to axe last night (originally a thread on the Hawks) was an example of how pathetic it can get.

I was at the NBA Store today and played 2K8 for PS3 with my brother. I blew him out by 22 points while everyone was watching. I was the Knicks and he was the Celtics, so it was an especially sweet victory.

It was so packed in midtown Manhattan today... I've been in Queens for so long I forgot how it can be walking through tourist-infested blocks. Some of them were so clueless. There was one buying March Madness 06 for $79.99 on PS2!!! That game came out 2 years ago.

I also saw quite a few nicely-shaped booties from a plethora of women.

I like the beginning stages of a cold when you have a semi-sore throat but aren't really that tired yet. I sound like Barry White and even though I know I'll feel like shit in a couple days, it sounds cool right now.

Only recently have I begun to realize how great live recordings are. I've been downloading live Hendrix albums for the past month or so and his solos and stuff are amazing to listen to. Machine Gun's such an awesome song.

I feel like I'm the only dude who still thinks Andrea Bargnani's going to be a really good player eventually. I can understand why people are skeptical, given the dropoff this season, but you have to realize that he's working on a position change from the 3/4 to the 5 and his coach has been f'ing around with his role all season long. I still believe that he's going to be a more dangerous offensive weapon than Chris Bosh (also, F the Andrew Bynum hype).

The guitar is pretty hard to get used to. Right now I can only play a few riffs very very crappily (Iron Man, Sunshine of Your Love, Smoke on the Water, Otherside). I plan to really spend a lot more time on this upcoming week, because I haven't had enough time lately (with exams and the X-mas trip).

I agree, Bargnani is still pretty young, and has so many ways to score. Didn't he also play all year? he must be tired.

I like Bargnani, but you have more trust in him then I do. I like his game a lot, but if a trade for Gasol came up, I'd take it.

I'm going to a sick new years party on Monday. My dad gave me Havana Club straight from Cuba to take. I don't even drink rum, I'm more Vodka, but it's liquor so I'll take it.

Bargnani is a bust when you consider that he's a #1 pick.

9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist on 38% shooting. The second coming of Radmanovic.

Never really was a fan of him. Sorry.

Plus he's a PF and Bosh is a PF. I know it was to create match-up nightmares and such, but won't it create a problem for one of them to play outside their natural position?
