Had to decline $81,000 in scholarships/gift aid from University of Texas. Turning down large sums of money is never fun X / Does anyone know hwo to decline the admissions offer for Madison? Can't figure it out, their online system is crap.
Whats with these idiots trying to push alcohol down an alcoholics throat when he told them he's an alcoholic and doesn't want to drink on RW.
Fuck man, I feel like I just started high school. Next year I have to go apply and I'm trying to work my ass off, but it's so fucking hard. Like I'll never be getting those scholarships like you guys, and every time I read that, it hits me. Like, what the fuck have I done so far? Basically nothing in all honesty. I can't say I didn't enjoy high school, but if I could restart from grade 9, I would do it in a heart beat. But congrats to you guys and I hope you have a great college/university life. You guys I know worked your asses off to get to where you are. Hopefully I'll come remotely close to that one day.
Shake, if you're not where you wanted to be, go to some community college and then transfer to some super fancy university after two years. That's what a lot of people I know have done. Don't be so sad.
What's the point of working so hard in high school when you can just go to a community college for 2 years and then still be able to transfer into a great univeristy? That's what I'm starting to think about recently. I've just been getting swarmed with so much work lately

Saved me a shit load of money.
Instead of going to a community college, you can get into some colleges through kind of a loop hole. Mostly in engineer heavy schools like NC State and Clemson, most have agriculture schools that the min requirement is a 2.0 and some dont even have to take an SAT. Then get a good GPA and transfer out of the agriculture program into whatever you want to do. One of my dads friends sons did that in Clemson, got rejected initially then transfered to the Agriculture program then to a pre-med to get in and ended up going to medical school.

I know what they are, and we don't have them. Like, I don't want to finish high school, then go in to college and do that shit again. I'll have to, but I don't want to. And for me I need to go to university, and I want to go, but right now, the drive isn't there. No one is here but me and I can only help myself. It's not that I'm sad, it's just that there is so much and the time ticks away every day. Next year I need to make portfolios and I won't get in to Ryerson because I just don't have what they want. I needed 6 published articles, and some other things and I won't have that. I was thinking Sports Management at Brock then transfer over to another school to pursue Journalism. I'm really mixed right now and sooner or later I need to start looking at different programs I need to apply for.
I hate how Canadian universities (UofT) are so committed to the bell curve. My Daoism professor just came out of Stanford, and she was amazed at how much harder and unnecessarily strict universities are with their grading up here. Shake, the last resort can always be to just pursue a general undergraduate degree in the social sciences/humanities. It won't lead to any sort of job, but they're easy to get into and it will give you 4 years to get a better idea of where you want to go career-wise. Plus, you get all those university level resources and advice. High school guidance councilors are shit.
Yea, my councilors are crap. Like, I want something sports related so I can enjoy what I do. Anyone have ideas about some college/university stuff I could go in to. I don't care how long it'll take, but some ideas.

Dude telling them he's has a problem, and their like "dude you HAVE to drink", what freaking morons!
My foot's lookin all black and blue. And it hurts a tiny bit when I walk on it. I think I might've hurt it playing basketball...but I hope not. It doesn't look too good, though.

I met Mike Golic (from the mike and mike show on espn) today at the airport, he was on a flight to Charlotte. Seems like we get a lot of ESPN people at where I work now.
How was Golic feeling after his eating contest this morning? http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/...30&n8pe6c=3
