It's weird being back on s2. It kind of feels like I never left, but it also feels like I have a hell of a lot of catching up to do.

But anyway, damn the Spurs are dominating. The first quarter was tight as hell, but the Spurs have just run away with this one. It's making the Hornets series hurt a lot less for me. (EDIT: Kobe just got completely bailed out with a whistle after being blocked by Udoka. BS!) (EDIT 2: And now Duncan gets hacked in the post and no whistle... [IMG]).

These refs are retarded for both sides. Hell, they've been making terrible calls all post season, mostly for the Spurs and the Celtics.

At this point, you can't really make that as an excuse...you just have to expect it, and deal with it.

Duncan kept slapping Pau in the face.

The Spurs didn't deserve to win.

Did anyone else notice Mike Miller sitting behind the Lakers bench? Showin some love for Pau I guess.

I was just thinking about what a change this has been for Pau. Sure, he went from being the first offensive option, an All-Star to an underrated second/third option, but he's in the spotlight now. He used to never be on tv, even when he was an All-Star and the Grizzlies were a 50 win team, and now he's on ABC, TNT, and ESPN almost nightly. He went from living on Poplar Avenue in Memphis in a modest two story house in the boring suburbs of a small city to living in a huge mansion somewhere nice in L.A., like Beverly Hills or wherever the rich people in L.A. live these days. He went from playing in front of a gym that's about 20% filled with unenthusiastic fans to playing in front of a packed house of wild diehards that includes movie stars, rock stars, and icons. Most importantly, he went from playing for a bottom dweller that occassionally has a playoff season to playing for a playoff team that occassionally has a championship season.

I can see why Gasol wanted out of Memphis ao badly now.

Spurs choked up a fantastic opportunity to win one in LA.

They deserve to lose, but I wouldn't be all to happy if I was a Lakers fan. It took a questionable call in the end to get a 4 pts victory at home.

And the Spurs had dubious calls, you've proven nothing.

No, I should be happy, Kobe had 2 points and a couple shots at halftime. Like that's going to happen again.

Haha, don't even get me started on the actual deal bro. Even casual fans know what a fuckin rip off that was for the Grizz. I can't believe the Lakers got away with it. It was like one of those dumbass trade proposals that Laker fans used to make in the Laker forum actually came true. You know the ones I'm talking about, ie: "Yao and McGrady for Mihm and Karl" Poster #1: "No way! The Lakers get screwed! Throw in a pick to even it out!" Man, I miss the whacky shit that was said in that place.

Big difference between bad calls in the first half and bad calls in the last 5 minutes.
