    Critical Reading -- 520
    Math -- 480
    Writing -- 470

    Is that really bad?</div>

    My first time taking it, I got

    Critical Reading 580
    Math 590
    Writing 580

    I think I took it 2 or 3 more times after that, and my highest scores were

    Critical Reading 650
    Math 700
    Writing 670

    The difference? Studying.

    The first time I took it, I didn't study/prepare at all because that's what everyone told me: there's no need to study. So I didn't prepare at all and went in blind. When I got the scores back, I was like "wtf?" I practiced for the next few tests, and you can see the difference. So, if you're school gives after-school SAT sessions, I'd highly suggest taking them because your scores can literally got up 100+ points with just a little practice. (I read the Princeton Review books, if you're wondering)
    </div>

    When I should I start preparing for the October SAT? Right away?
    </div>

    If you want to. I think I started preparing for mine 3-4 weeks before the test. Getting used to the format of test is basically what you're aiming for: how the questions are worded, when to take guesses when not to, how to pace yourself, etc.

    Well I alluded to this earlier, but let's say you're Cuban, you could swim over here and become a citizen.

    However that does not apply to other South American Countries, so for someone like myself to be where I am, I arrived here on a plane after having my history checked by this country and such. If the States wouldn't let me be here legally (a real shame since I love Miami), I would have become a legal citizen in Australia, that was what my family wished for. My third choice was Spain I believe.

    I actually take my citizenship test/pledge/whatever in July. I filed some papers in December 2007 and it is finally getting processed.

    lol, I remember you told me about that a long time ago and I've always had to resist the temptation to shorten your name since then.

    Has anybody ever taken a sociology course before? I'm taking my first one this summer and its way different than the philosophy courses that I'm used to.

    Sociologist? I'm not sure since I'm not headed that way academically, but I think sociology's a profession that kind of resides in the academic/scholarly community.

    I took Soc 100 last semester. It' alright, honestly. It's one of those courses that is make/break depending on the professor. I had a dead beat professor.
