WTF is with spyware? Why does it exist? Been on the comp trying to get rid of it with AVG FREE. Yet pop-ups still come up from "Windows Virus Protection 2008" that say to "ACTIVATE NOW" or "Continue unprotected". I choose the ladder since the activation requires moneys. Getting freaking annoying that I cant remove the program since it doesnt appear on the add/remove programs list.

On this old forum, every post had to have at least 20 words, to try and encourage informative, and interesting posts. It didn't work out. It was a bit annoying to be honest.

If its anything like what I had to deal with, your computer can get infected simply by clicking anywhere on that ad. Your comp might already be infected if it keeps popping up. When I get home, I'll give you a link to this forum I used when it happened to me. You'd post your problem and they'd have people that would walk you step-by-step through the problem. Worked perfectly for me.

If you want to spend money then you can go to staples and buy something there that should handle it. Or if you want try this free online scan, no strings, I like it. However on some computers I`ve tried it and it just wouldn`t work. http://housecall65.trendmicro.com/ there is also one called Pandascan which I`ve used before. Sometimes also if you know when you got it, you can go into safe mode and restore a previous state or whatever it`s called, and it sometimes fixes the problem.

I try to read, but I have absolutely no interest in the Warriors. That's why I love the lengthy posts of FOMW, Dumpy, and NI - they're all so lengthy and informative. Although, there's so many young people on the Nets board who don't like to type all that much...they just wanna get their opinions across, and that's it.
