Any suggestions?</div> Just tell him that you're busy and you can only work 4 days a week. He/she should understand since you're just a kid. You could be like me too and just say you have a school related thing to go to on certain days every week, it leaves them defenseless since they have to let you go for school stuff.
In the past few days i've heard people say, "well at least it's not humid here" and "man the humidity is killing me". I have come to the conclusion that people in the Seattle area have no clue what humidity is.
Wow, I actually ended up getting 11 thousand in loans from OSAP (student loan provider in Canada)...I have $1500 in scholarships, $2000 or so in RESP, and I plan on making around $2000 over the summer. That's around like 16 thousand, but I still think I might be a little short (I'm not completely sure the finalized financial costs because I could get another bursary in August and my room selection hasn't been finalized either). Do any of you guys recommend working on campus during your first year? Or working on campus at all?

My OSAP estimate was only $6800 and I managed to get $500 in bursaries from Waterloo. Doesn't matter in the end though b/c I'm not going there. I doubt I'll even get any money from OSAP because I put down the wrong campus when I applied for it.
Just because this video is so goddamn cool. Makes me feel great about the day. Makes me think about my life, because I had a similar experience. Life is just great these days. Seriously, get some money and leave. Do something incredibly spontanious. You only live once.
It's not just the Seattle area, it's pretty much the whole west coast. It's been like that here in SoCal where I live, and all people do is bitch and moan...having lived in VA for three years, I laugh

Like 70's-80's the whole summer save for a short stretch of high 80's-low 90's and recently we've even got the landmark fog rolling in some nights. Going down to So Cal tomorrow though to check out some colleges while my sister is down there doing some registration stuff for Loyola Marymount.
Any of you guys seen the Pakistani guy on Yo Momma last night? He won best of the week. It was Round 2 and you had to bag on the other person's family member and this is what he said about the other dude's friend: "The last time your friend got some ass was when his finger slipped through the toilet paper."

Waking up at 5 AM to step outside into what feels like an oven is no fun. It makes running a mile feel like running ten. The south is beautiful, but the humidity is a real drawback. As for Who's Now, who cares? It's the most nonsensical contest I've seen in a while. The whole tournament is arbitrary and means nothing.
Yesterday was hella dumb. Me and 3 of my friends sneak into some apartments pool to swim, then some dude comes by after like 2 hours, some guy comes and calls the cops on us and we each paid 50 dollar fines. My parents were pissed as hell at me. No PS3 for a while.
<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Run what colleges are you going to check out? CSU or UC system?</div> I'm definitely going checking out UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, USD, might go to Irvine as well and SD State and LBSU. Right now I'm aiming for UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, or UC Davis with Irvine or UCSD being unlikely to get into. Just going to see whats out there so I can narrow down my choices when I have to send in applications in a few months.
God, I wish I could get into the UC system. Right now, I'm aiming to transfer to SDSU or Cal State Fullerton @ Irvine.

Usually, they give like 60% of whatever the estimate is, but my actual amount was actually pretty damn close to the estimate, which is surprising. As for bursaries, I missed the April 2nd deadline, or whatever it was, to apply for the bursary @ Waterloo. There's some that you can apply once you get on campus I believe, and I'll probably do that once I get there. I just wanna move out at this point lol, I'm pretty sick of being in this city. What Uni are you going to by the way?

They are beautiful. I would love to go to college there. SD State I believe, or maybe it was UCSD (it was one of the San Diego colleges) looked really old and not really appealing to me
SDSU is the old looking one, major party school though. Right now I'm banking on CSFU @ Irvine so I can get season tickets to the Angels and make bank in tip money at a Starbucks out there. A lot of the Starbucks partners who work near that school get about $5 an hour in tips, about an extra $100 a week basically.
Screw going to California for school. Come down south to Tulane. It's a Southern Ivy with a great party scene, located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Can't get much better than that imo.
<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">SDSU is the old looking one, major party school though.</div> Isn't UC Santa Barbara a big party school too? My cousin goes there and he seems to be partying all the time. He's been in college for 5 years now and still doesn't have plans to graduate. lol. If that was me, my parents would kick my ass
