I find it weird that whenever I bust open my face, lose skin on my arms and legs etc playing rugby it doesn't really bother me. Get the stitches and get back into the game. However, if I hit a certain nerve on my elbow trying to close the car door with groceries in my hands it hurts like hell. The heat of the moment comes to mind, but that's just strange. I hate that pain.

^ Agreed man. I understand. It is because you mind is so focused, that nothing matters. When I play football, and i get crushed, I get back up and it is like nothing. But then I get a paper cut, Im in the office waiting for my dad to pick me up, madness.

Does anyone here skateboard? I used to skate on and off. Anyways, I got back on the skateboard today and I wiped out pretty bad... Skating's harder than it looks. I'm never doing it again

Yeah, that's why I put "The heat of the moment comes to mind, but that's just strange." I know what you mean about paper cuts. I absolutely can't stand those especially if they're deep and thin.

I used to when I was young, but after I broke my fibula I stopped for a while. When I wanted to get back into it I just couldn't. The Tony Hawk games also killed that extreme sport as it wore on.

I'm not obsessed with the Harry Potter books, but I do intend to read them too.

I think most fantasy literature is a waste of time. I'd much rather watch a movie or t.v. show.

I know that fantasy literature helps kids develop their imaginations, as well as their vocabulary to an extent, but I'm not a kid anymore. When I read a book, it's usually to learn, not escape into some sort of fantasy world.

That comes off incredibly elitist, but oh well.

I don't know, a good fiction is refreshing every now and then. I like to keep my reading material varied, so I'll look for different subject matter or genres after every book.

For some reason, I cant read long books unless its for a project or something.

    I liked:

    Night Hoops
    Holes
    Full Court Fever
