If we see it, then Sather and AV see it as well. ... Anyway, they better.

It would be unfortunate to see Cally go who's been a Ranger from the start, but if he's not willing to budge on a contract then the business side of the sport has to kick in and Sather has to do what's best for the Rangers, and that's a trade. That contract would be a disaster.

I think that is too much to be honest, a 6 mill cap hit for 5 seasons, but what I think is even crazier is Cally would say no to that. Come on now. He is lost if he thinks he is really worth more than that. He is worth TOPS around 5 for a cap hit, and the Rangers offered 6 per for 5 years and he doesn't jump. Wake up Cally.

The Rangers have offered Callahan a five-year deal worth close to $30 million but he is holding firm on wanting seven-years and $42 million. (NY Post)

The team is sincere in their effort to re-sign their captain but are unwilling to go to seven-years and if Callahan is not willing to budge the team will move on. (NY Post)

What is Cally smoking? He is not close to be a star player. The star players get paid like this. They need to make up their mind quickly so this nonsense does not become a distraction to the team.

If they really offered cally 6 mill for 5 years OUCH!!!!! I hope they finish whatever trade they're working on quickly before cally comes to his senses. That would be an awful contract for someone just because he wears the C on his jersey. Always hurt, no speed and play disintegrating before our eyes. Can't tie a roster spot up with him for a 3rd line player when better ones out there and coming up from below.

If being a Ranger means all that much to him, then being the money is equal youd think he'd figure out the extra two years down the line.

If it's business for Callahan, it will be business for the locker room as well. With the money that these guys are asking, how can it not be?

If they offered 5, it's because he is a fan favorite.

Or had compromising pictures of Sather. Or maybe I'm just not seeing this superstar called Callahan. ROTFLMAO.

They are on drugs if they offered him 5 years at 30 million. He's not a 6 million a year player. He's not a 5 million a year player. Please.

yeah, he's definitely not a superstar. He's a grinder, gritty type of player who has no problem going into the corners, and putting a body on someone. He will come up with a goal from time to time (some big), and a few assists. Well the Rangers have plenty of those types of players, probably to many.
