This is a bullshit loser of an organization and always has been. We all have spent years ripping the Islanders and Devils trying to pretend otherwise. It's time to face facts.
And chuck, not a participant during the game as he watched intently in his bathrobe and rangers slippers he got for x-mas chimes in. LOL
LOL. You mean Sather here for 15 years with ONE ECF trip to show for it isn't good...LOL. Record for a NY GM staying in his job despite ZERO results. Is what it is guys. We have been a poor organization for many years now. We'll see if we can reshape things this summer.
Scoring is certainly a huge problem, but to me a big issue is not having any real difference maker on D.
Not much to say during the game. This board is unreadable during games usually. I don't say that as a knock on anyone, I say it because we are so negative now. Post after post ripping someone. I am part of that also in game, so I stay away from it now. We are what we are. Just the way it is. Let's hope we can get some good players in here this summer. We need a nice overhaul of the dead weight upfront, and maybe 2 or 3 new dmen will be here as well.
We had some good years during the Mess/Smith era, including a cup. The last 15 years under Sather have been a disgrace. No other way to spin it really. Results are results. When people ask how is Dolan a bad owner when he spends money, Sather is exhibit A. Isiah is exhibit B (he'd still be here if not for the lawsuit). Firing Grunwald a week before the season to bring in Isiah's right hand man Mills is exhibit C. Letting Donnie Walsh walk is exhibit D. And the fact that the Rangers and Knicks stink year after year is exhibit E.
AV is going nowhere. We need to chill a little. Last year it was Torts. This year it is AV. Maybe...JUST MAYBE it is Sather and the players not the coach. AV deserves a shot to coach a team that is built for the way he wants to play. He will get that next season. We stink again, then I will get on AV. For now it is way unfair IMO.
Sather still thinks this is 1985. On top of that he didn't get the greatest players in the world falling into his lap.
Yeah, Sather did make his legacy on that Oiler dynasty. Credit where credit is due, but come on, that was one of the greatest teams ever. A lot of it fell into his lap. Did he really work like crazy to put those teams together...no IMO.
Can't speak for the Knicks b/c i don't follow them one bit, but you cannot be serious about the Rangers stinking year after year. '12-13 = 8gms over .500 - Playoffs '11-12 = 27gms over .500 - Playoffs '10-11 = 11gms over .500 - Playoffs '09-10 = 5gms over .500 - No Playoffs '08-09 = 13gms over .500 - Playoffs That's not a team that stinks.
Im not getting on the defenseman just as an outlet, i just think they really are limited and dont help enough offensively.
