Were the Pens a wall also grey? Just curious.

Again, I don't think Mess and I are saying the Caps aren't a very good team, playing very well on D, and with a very good goalie (welcome to the NHL playoffs final 8), but if it's the Caps and their physical play and crazy tough D, why are we getting a bunch of chances every game and why did our O suck against the Pens also.

    Looking forward to those answers.

Exactly Chuck regarding the Pens. They scored 8 goals in the 4 wins vs Fleury and a very depleted defense

This team is a disgrace offensively all of a sudden after being 3rd in NHL scoring

And I wouldn't compare Nash to Thornton...Thornton has 100p in 132g in the playoffs

Exactly Dis...and two games went to OT...so one goal each in 60 in games 4 & 5.

I don't know what happened, maybe the Pens/Caps found the magic formula to shutting down this team, but make no mistake about it this isn't just a Caps are so good on D issue, this started game 1 against the Pens.

After such a great start, Brass goal on the 1st shift, we have turned into a team with zero O. Shame.

If we don't win 3 straight, highly unlikely, I am interested in seeing what Sather tries to do with Nash AND do you give Step 6 mill per? He is not a playoff performer either.

Plenty of time for those discussions Friday or Sunday if we lose, but it is interesting to see what he does. Cap is tight for us. MSL has to go. Maybe you buy Boyle out. Nash? Stepan? I think you keep Hags for sure, he is a playoff performer.

No they weren't, but are you comparing the Penguins defense to the Capitals?

Yes, the Caps have played well but how many quality scoring chances do the Rangers blow? Game after game they just can't finish. Like I had said the Rangers should've had three goals going into the third.

No...I am comparing the fact that we couldn't score f'ing goals against the Pens and we still can't score f'ing goals against the Caps. What is the common piece there jam...the Caps D OR the Rangers O...:).

I have to believe it still goes 7 games. To much history between these two teams for me to believe otherwise. The Rangers just need to step up there game, to match the play of the Capitals.

They can't score for shit. The Caps defense hasn't been anything special and nothing you wouldn't expect to see in the playoffs.

    Zero margin for error Mess...:).

I am not even that upset as I said. When your team refuses to shoot and doesn't score how upset can you get. Disappointed for sure, waste of a season, but not upset. Good thing we won the Pres trophy...:).

When you don't have shooters who scare anyone you can afford to sit and block shots like they are.
