I agree 100% Mess. Game 2 is very interesting to me. It really will show me what kind of team we have in a way. Not that if we lose we are f'd, we'll still be fine and win in 7 IMO, but it will tell me if we are dealing with a team that really has that step on their throat killer mentality. That is something we lacked two years ago IMO.

Let's put a death grip on this series in game 2 please.

And yes...I HATE the 12 noon starts. Hurts the home team a little IMO.

Regarding the flyers cheap shots. I think they are clearly very frustrated that they cant win at MSG so they resort to that crap. Also Giroux sucks at MSG. I would be shocked if the rangers don't win the next game.

At this point I can see us going to Philly with 2:0 lead in the series then losing game 3 and winning game 4 and 5. Like I said before if they won game 1, they should win the series at 5 the most.

I thought it was funny when Berube said after the game that the Flyers were coming on until the high sticking double minor penalty in the 3rd. Really? I guess I was watching a different game. They had ONE SHOT in the 3rd period...so how were they coming in.

Talk about positive spin to get your team ready for the next game...LOL.

I would still think about switching out Moore for Diaz and Dorsett for Carcillo.

Nash will disappear again. I wish it wasn't true but he is in a fog.

Sometimes you make me smile sc. We play a very strong game, and you want to change out a dman and take out Dorsett, who played well, and put in Carcillo. I don't get why you would want to do that, but to each their own...:).

What I do know is Philly will come out ready to go in game 2. They know they played a poor game last night, and spent way too much time in their own zone, and Mason being back I am sure will also give them a little mental lift as well. So we need to match that emotional jump Philly will have, and I am hopeful we will.

Philly knows that when you go down 2-0 in a series in the NHL the odds are very stacked against coming back to win. Can be done of course as we did to the Caps last season, but the %'s on teams up 2-0 that win the series are very high. Philly knows they need a win Sunday. We'll see how it goes.

I'm not saying I'm really down on either guy, it's more of how can they get even more out of the roster in small ways. Moore has been good, I just think Diaz has more offensive intuition about puck moving and shooting. And Carcillo to me has more of a nose for the puck, plus is a better pest against a team like Philly. I think he'll definately see time especially if things get chippy as we go along.

I dont want to see changes for the sake of making changes. We just won 4-1.

Moore is bigger than Diaz, keep Moore in to weather the storm against the Flyer forecheck which I'm sure will pick next game. Dorsett looked very good with Boyle and D.Moore, keep them rolling.

Agree Prod. Trust me the Flyers are hearing non-stop from their coaches about how poorly they played in game 1. About how soft they were in game 1. About how they played with no fire or emotion in game 1. About how they didn't make it difficult at all on the Rangers in game 1. Whether that is all true or not doesn't matter, because I am sure that is what the players are being fed today. They will come out primed to play their best game on Sunday. Again, they know what that game means to their chances to win the series, despite what they will say about going home and having a shot.

So we need to be ready for that...

I think see the same thing Sunday. Nash needs to play more like the third period and less like the first.
