This is where us sucking at faceoffs KILLS us. We keep losing these o-zone faceoffs on the PP, they clear the zone and we have to start from scratch. We've basically stopped doing what worked in the first period and have gone back to forcing passes and looking to pass instead of shoot when we have a chance. At this point, shorten the bench and keep Glass benched and give Kreider, Hayes and Miller more ice time.
Pens deserve the lead right now. Playing better than us. Scoring on their chances. Get a PP and score. They deserve the lead. We need to play much better.
Pitt is 100% out playing us. Shocking that Boyle was out there clueless and covering ice instead of Crosby. Stupid awful player that we're stuck with.
Pitt is just completely out skating us, out hustling, out working us on the boards. They've earned this lead. Can we just fucking decline the PP. we're awful. It's like the Torts years. Seriously. Ughhhh
PP # 20 in the series. Let's see if we can score. You guys were right about the refs playing a huge part, just wrong about the team they'd favor. We are getting every call. Need to actually score to make them pay.
It is funny though, we never win the PP faceoff which kills 20 seconds every time. PP really hurting us.
