Yeah the last thing we need to do is put Pitt on the PP where they actually score. Win the war by beating them 4 times
The PP frustrates me way more because the dirty play as you call it is really dumb more than dirty IMO. If we made them pay with PP goals I would beg them to keep playing stupid hockey. Speaking of dumb...really Nash. We are playing great, puck in O zone, about to get a good shot...and you take a dumb penalty. We need a good kill here.
Obviously excellent period, but only 1-0. That next goal is real big. If we get it I think we'll win this game for sure. If they get it we are back to a coin flip and they would have the MO. I have to expect the Pens will come out strong in the 2nd as they have in games 1 & 2, so we need to be ready. They actually started to pick it up the last few minutes of the 1st period.
I am concerned about Marty. I just don't see much to his game right now. Boyle has struggled, but he will be our 6th dman starting next game. MSL we need to play a top 9 role. I just hope he can pull it together.
Marty will score goals. He has always been a streaky goal scorer even in Tampa BTW Zuc looks great so far
I remain hopeful that's for sure. Zucc is simply a very good player. Smart as well. Makes the right play very often. Good player to have on the team. At 4.5 per I think his deal will be real good for us moving forward.
Ok time to come out harder in 2nd period. They have let the Pens dictate play in the 2nd period in both games no letup, get the 2nd goal and keep up the pressure on Fleury
I think Hayes has been better in this game, but someone has to tell him to shoot. This is not the regular season where you can dance and spin and always pass, you have to keep them honest with shots. I think he'll learn that, but he's passed up a few good chances already.
It's all well and good to be playing well but it's still only 1-0. Like some have said they need to shoot any chance they get.
