Whether crosby plays or doesn’t play they need to win this game without excuses. Pens 6-0 streak in game 7’s will be ending tonight!
Tristan Jarry expected to start for the Pens in Game 7 tonight, barring any injury setbacks today. Hasn't played since April 14th. Pepper him with shots please. I expect Crosby to play as well, and Rakell.
Crosby cleared concussion protocol. There is no way he’s not playing. Doesn’t matter. Whoever plays for the pens we need to beat them period.
Since game 2 we have been outplayed in this series. We are fortunate to be getting a game 7 after trailing 2-0 each of the past two games - some may say we don't really deserve the opportunity. With that said, we do have a game 7 in our building. Here is what I think I know. Being home in a very loud building should be an edge for us. Playing against a goalie that has not played since April 14 should be an edge for us with a Vezina winning goalie in our net. They are going to be missing Dumoulin and Boyle, that should be an edge for us. The Rangers need to play better than they have outside of 1 or 2 periods since game 2 or they will lose this game. We cannot fall behind by 2 again and expect to come back in game 7. I'll stand by what I wrote yesterday, I have no feel for this game tonight. I can see us coming out fired up getting inspiration from the crowd and playing well. Igor should be in a better place after winning in Pitt. I can also see us being flat again and getting outplayed as we have been for the most part since game 2. I truly do not know. Putting a gun to my head I'd lean Pens with Crosby back because they have been the better team since game 2, but I would stay away from betting this game as I just don't have a good feel as mentioned.
Good article that sums up a lot of what was expected and has been going on in this series: https://nypost.com/2022/05/15/nhl-playoffs-penguins-vs-rangers-game-7-odds-predictions-today/
Suprising with a concussion that Crosby would be back quite this quickly but it must've been very mild.
Yeah, I read he hasn't had any symptoms since game 5 ended, so sounds like mild and precaution/going through protocol is why he missed game 6.
One bad thing about having a left handed shot playing rw and a right handed shot playing lw..is on defense
That took no time for Miller to show he’s one of our worst dmen lol. He’s just so indecisive. I think that’s what the issue is. He’s caught in between. He just needs to be assertive and he could be fine. But he plays timid.
