LOL breadman of all people. You were all throwing this dude under the bus. maybe goodrow comes back that will help. The bruins took the canes to 7 games so anything can happen
Outplayed or not the never give up attitude this group seems to possess is great. Carolina is a very tough match up but it's better than going home early. More playoff hockey.
Maybe this will loosen them up and they will look more like the team we saw much of the year. The young guys got a series under their belt and the vets can't really be much worse. Shest can hopefully steal them a game or three.
Makes it even sweeter when you believe, now to await for crack analysis on why the Rangers have no shot against the Canes from the same guys who said they had no shot of making the playoffs this summer. Brilliant coaching by GG switching up the lines. Drury was a tradeline genius for the moves he made without giving up much. Let's Go Rangers!
While a lot of stuff went the Rangers way they still got fucked by those incompetent morons in Toronto. I don’t give a shit what anybody says. That was not goalie interference on Kakko. He wouldn't have hit the goalie if he didn't get pushed.
Yes, that was a bad call I agree. Overall to me the Rangers are two things. 1. Resilient and keep playing and pushing. Have to give them credit for that. To battle back from down 3-1, and 2-0 in games 5 & 6, and score late in game 7, and win in OT is impressive and shows no quit. 2. They are lucky. The Pens were the better team in this series from game 3 on. Look at the shots, the possession time, the zone time etc. All favors the Pens. Doesn't matter because at days end we won, and that is playoff hockey in a lot of ways, but the Pens outplayed us in this series, and we should be very thankful we live to see another playoff day. That is something I am maybe hopeful for against the Canes. We'll be the underdog, we play better in that role, and maybe getting through this series will loosen them up and we'll play better in round 2.
The Pitt series was poorly officiated, good goals taken from the Rangers while non-goals awarded to Bettman's darlings. Any time the Rangers got a little momentum going a questionable call soon followed. I don't ever recall seeing so many obvious icing plays get waived off giving the Pens great forechecking opportunities. I don't see the Canes getting the same courtesy.
My biggest gripe is the goal in game one should've counted. Kakko wasn't running the goalie and was clearly pushed from behind with absolutely no reasonable chance to avoid contact. If he isn't pushed he doesn't go into the netminder.
