You think Nellie might limit his minutes because he doesn't have the stamina to play huge minutes? That's why you don't see Yao out there playing super-huge minutes, because he can't.
I think he would be able to if he had any help. It's got to take a lot out him when he has to contend with the other team's C and PF. Not to mention that he has to challenge everything becuase the perimeter guys don't even bother trying to keep anyone out of the lane. I think if you put him on a team that plays a traditional lineup and at least some set plays he could be an allstar. Portland's the team that comes to mind. Next to LMA who has got a nice elbow jumbshot and can help on D. They've also got guards who can pass and seem to usually make the correct, fundamental play. I forgot to mention earlier. I think he could have the best hands of anyone in this group. Despite getting many passes at his knees, he always seems to field it cleanly and has nice touch around the rim.
I personally can't see him being an All Star, but I haven't seen a lot of him. He doesn't seem to have much of an offensive game and gets most of his points off of pure hustle. Usually players like that don't turn in to All Stars. I could be wrong, but this is based on the games I've seen of the Warriors over the past few years, which again, is a very, very small sample size compared to what Warrior fans get to see of him.
Nellie isn't good with post players which is why his offensive game seems limited. The only plays designed for Biedrins' are pick n rolls.
I won't stop posting in the thread, and I won't cancel my isp, but i will go off topic again to offer you a beer of truce at the Laker game PM me if you plan to be there.
