This will be interesting to see what Sam Mitchell will do with Rafer and Loren. Also, the situation with Rafer and if he will WANT to play today or not. Somebody's gotta make a thread.
Editops i misread it. guess he might play. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Sportsnet.ca -- Vince Carter will be on the bench for the start of Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The reason? One bad burger. </div> http://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article.jsp?co...204_145014_4828
He "might" play. Possibly later in the game, from what I understand. EDIT: Air Jordan, I expect the Raptors to win.

My Theory on Vince: The Raps have a deal in place, and they aren't playing carter today because they dont want to risk carter getting injured. Hope I'm wrong though
hmm ya makes you wonder if there is a deal in place. but surprisingly the raps are only down 9 at the half.
Cavs win, 105-97. To all you build around Bosh people, this is exactly why we should not build around him. He turns the ball to over too often. Don't get me wrong, I love the kid, but he's not going to be the franchise player you all are hoping for. He has like 4,5 TO's in this game and is 3-10. Maybe he'll become into JO and develop in his 4th year, however, Bosh is not a physical inside player. He has no post moves what so ever. He needs to become more tough, physically and mentally. Plus, he's not a very good rebounder either. At most I can see him being a 19 point-9 Board person if the Raps choose to build around him, however this team will not be that successful.
bosh is a highly skilled big man...and like all big men, he's not going to come into his own untill another two or three years. you make it sound like we shouldnt build around him because he turns the ball over lots NOW...that doesnt mean this will be a problem throughout his career. im surprised you're not stokked on bosh...seems pretty obvious to almost anyone else watching him that he's got the potential to be an all-star. anyways...about the game...i gotta attribute the loss to sam mitchell. the first quarter is what killed us...that and some untimely turnovers. what was with that retarded starting 5 though? i mean seriously...moiso and arujo? give me a break. he should have started jalen mo pete in the back court...or palacio and jalen in the back with bonner, bosh and marshall...or someone else other then both moiso AND arujuo starting. thats just lame. they've both been horrible for us and tonight was no exception. scary trend...other teams seem to have at least one big man that has huge nights against us. gooden had like a career night tonight
well raps lose, it was a good effort but turnovers killed us in the last few minutes. I expected a big blowout but the raptors played well and were actually down 2 at one point. but ya gooden played a real good game and alston had a pretty good game as well.
Ahhh nice try Raps! Man we just couldn't get over that hump. Ahh so frustrating, but it was cool to see us catch up without Vince and Jalen. I think its time to trade them! And Moiso your time is up!! We gave him a chance and he did not deliver. Time to trade him too! Another great game by Bonner! But its the turnovers that killed us!
I agree Bosh isn't a guy we can build around at this moment, I think I already said it before, he's not ready for a role like that because you have to realize he's also been struggling as the 3rd/4th option, so if he's #1 and s facing double teams etc it doesn't get better. The guys played good out there, Jalen hurts this team a lot, but I've said that a lot before so I'm just repeating myself, Bonner is a beast, just hits everything. Rafer played okay, he made a few too many mistakes but was getting to the basket and should've had more assists if people made theirs shots. Not bad...

Whenever you make contact with him, he seems to turn the ball over. His back to the basket game? Well he doesn't have one. He's very explosive, and has good range, however, I don't think that's gonna be good enough to make him a franchise player. When he does develop a back to the basket game, I don't think it'll be anything spectacular, because he's left handed, and his turn around shot when he has his back against the basket is awful. Plus, he's not that good of a rebounder, 7.1 RPG in 35 MPG. That will increase obviously, but it'll get to around 10 RPG at best. He might get better, but I don't think he'll be a franchise guy. 2nd option seems like a good role for him. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">im surprised you're not stokked on bosh...seems pretty obvious to almost anyone else watching him that he's got the potential to be an all-star.</div> "Everyone else" are very optimistic, huge bosh believers, or fans who want VC out of town and think Bosh can take over. He could be an all-star, but that doesn't make you a franchise player. Plus...I'm not the only one that thinks this way about Bosh.
I pray the food poisioning is an excuse and they have a trade ready to go for Carter. Still, Bosh is part of the future of the Raptors, there is no denying that. And the game wa s agreat one, but the first quarter killed us(saw the end of the 2nd till the end of the game). The raptors closed it out multiple times, but like last night, could not go over that last hump. Oh, yea, Hoffa Starting? thats a joke. Atleast he got something accomplished in his rookie season
