Dalembert is an expiring contract, and unless they resign him cheap, he won' be back. He will most likely get better offers from other teams. He doesn't really fit into the Kings rebuilding plans.

So, a guy who can't rebound and shoots less than 0.350 3FG% is exactly what the Kings need to turn their franchise around? The Raptors couldn't even make the playoffs in the weak Eastern Conference with Bosh and Bargnani. How does adding Bargnani to the Kings already bad roster get them anything but several more trips back to the lottery?

They'd be much better of keeping their high lottery pick and hoping they pluck a jewel from the draft.

Yeah, I know. That's why I checked the date of his post. It would have been much better if he would have waited and posted it on April 1.

I think Irving is probably consensus number 1 (unless Washington wins the lottery). With Sullinger and possibly Barnes not declaring, the draft is getting weaker by each passing day the question is who should we target in case we don't get first pick (fingers crossed tho)?

Is anyone as jaded as me? I feel like no matter what, perfect drafting for several years, smart contract signings... this team is just destined to be second-rate forever.

We've had several stars on the team before with middling results.

I just really like this years core, reminds me of the late 90's, early 2000 Raptors. Not as scrappy, but more athletic. With a top 5 pick, if BC does the right thing and takes a SF or PG - we'll be an interesting team.

Hearing more and more support for JJ as the small forward in the coming years.

This is how I feel. i mean I will watch the team again once they get their "star" but honestly the same cycle will repeat itself and shit gets old fast.

I think how you guys feel about the Raptors can be applied to every "small" market team in the NBA (I realize Toronto isn't a small market per se but being in Canada I feel they suffer from the same disadvantages of a small market team). Until a hard cap is put in and there is more parity in the league I am not even that interested in the NBA. I mean like you guys said, even if the raps draft a star it seems like what inevitably ends up happening is they bolt for a larger city that can attract a quality team.

Kyrie Irving or Kemba Walker...Future Raptors.

I'm fine with JJ being our SF, dude does a lot of good things.

Kemba Walker is small and not lightning quick.

    He won't be a star.

What about Brandon Knight? I've read that he's gifted athletically and is a great offensive player but doesn't really have PG skills. Is he too much like Bayless? better?
