Toronto trades: SF Vince Carter (22.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.8 apg in 38.1 minutes)
PF Donyell Marshall (14.7 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 36.5 minutes)
PG Rafer Alston (10.2 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.5 apg in 31.5 minutes)
PF Chris Bosh (11.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.0 apg in 33.5 minutes)
Toronto receives: PG Baron Davis (22.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 7.5 apg in 40.1 minutes)
SF Jamal Mashburn (20.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.5 apg in 38.4 minutes)
    C Jamaal Magloire (13.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.1 apg in 33.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -1.5 ppg, -4.0 rpg, and -0.7 apg.

New Orleans trades: PG Baron Davis (22.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 7.5 apg in 40.1 minutes)
SF Jamal Mashburn (20.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.5 apg in 38.4 minutes)
    C Jamaal Magloire (13.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.1 apg in 33.9 minutes)
New Orleans receives: SF Vince Carter (22.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.8 apg in 73 games)
PF Donyell Marshall (14.7 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 82 games)
PG Rafer Alston (10.2 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.5 apg in 82 games)
PF Chris Bosh (11.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.0 apg in 75 games)
Change in team outlook: +1.5 ppg, +4.0 rpg, and +0.7 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Toronto and New Orleans being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Toronto and New Orleans had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    Raps new lineup
    PG-B.Diddy/ADubb
    SG-Rose/Murray
    SF-Mash/Mopete
    PF-Moiso/Woods
    C-Magloire/Aruajo

it works out great for the raps but i dunno bout the hornets

terrible trade. they'd be raping us by taking both bosh and marshall. vince, donyell and a first rounder for baron and magloire is a more fair trade.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Banks:</div><div class="quote_post">That was more of a hypothetical q...I'm just stating there's no point in discussing something that has no truth to it. This stuff is just created by some people at local Radio Stations to start something up.</div>

jesus...its a link. we are discussing a link. PLENTY of links get posted with articles that have no truth to it. if you dont want to participate, dont open the thread. its simple like that. this conversation is retarded, if you really want to continue it, do so without me. its not what this thread is about.

You guys took it the wrong way. The article is mainly about Vince Carter recent encounter with Jamal Magloire and how he reassures that he wants Magloire on the team. And with that being said, if Vince Carter is reassuring that he wants Magloire maybe the Raptors would probably be in re-pursuit of Magloire once again. Noticed I put a question mark at the end of thread title. I didn't necessarily say that the Raptors ARE eyeing Magloire.

But nonetheless, at least they're some discussion going on which is always good. But it isn?t that serious of a discussion, whether or not this was hypothetically speaking. Hey, if you?re tired of hearing about this or if it has no truth to it, don?t respond.

That would kill the Raptors IMO....Trading off my main man VC would be a mistake because he only missed 9 games last year...i think hes doin WAY BETTER and next year wont get hurt. Bosh is a 2nd year player thats developing and that would also be bad for them to trade him off because next year i think he'll do very well averaging about 13 and 10 and thats already the same as Jamaal Magloire right now.Donyell Marshall alone is better than Mashburn because Mashburn is already gonna be out for 2 months of the season to my knowledge. And Rafer Alston would be going to the Hornets for free pretty much and thats also a mistake because Rafer contributes to every team he goes to nailing 3 pointers and actually helping Miami make the playoffs....In other words...this is what im tryin to say....

Jamaal Magloire: Honestly a very great C i know...but we all know Bosh will continue to develop and become equal or more than Jamaal Magloire is right now.
Baron Davis: This man is unbelievable at the PG position. Him and Kidd have to be some of the best PGs in the league. I know Bdiddy and Magloire did lead their team to the playoffs and i have to say Bdiddy can lead a team better than Carter.
Jamal Mashburn: The trash of the trade goes to Mash...this guy is injured and wont even be playing for 2 months...why do u think hes even involved in this trade...because Hornets know that if Mash aint playin for 2 months...theres a chance that he'll be out longer than that just like Kidd has to be.
    FOR
Chris Bosh: A kid playing only his 2nd year and could easily become a very good C or PF in the long run....he already is very good but next year may possibly average more than Magloire in rebounds and in scoring...we'll just have to see about that tho :P
Vince Carter: He only missed 9 games last year....People i know u still think hes injured but i think hes 100% and next year will score about 25 ppg and 6 rpg....I think the old VC will be back to show everyone a thing or two next year and thats y i dont think the Raptors should just trade him off.
Donyell Marshall: A very important factor to the Raptors as it is....This guy scores 15 ppg and 9 rpg....1 more rpg and he can be just as good as Jamaal Magloire. He would be a very good addition to any team and thats exactly why he was added into this trade....its like trading him for Mashburn also...we know Marshall aint hurt but Mash..he is....Keep Marshall over Mash because if u dont...itll hurt ya in the long run.
Rafer Alston: Why give this man away for free....hes a very good addition to anyones team because he can nail 3s when they need him to. The Heat made a mistake not signing this And1 freak :P but also...in the long run..this would benefit the Hornets.

This is just my opinion on this trade...it might look good on paper...but it really doesnt benefit the Raptors one bit besides maybe getting ONE of the best PGs in the league and a dominant C :P

<u>EDIT: SORRY I DIDNT SEE THE POST BEFORE ME! SORRY FOR TAKIN IT THE WRONG WAY LOL</u>

I'm not sure what you're really trying to establish here, an arguement, or a statement. I stated that their was no point in posting/discussing something that has no truth to it. This isn't even a rumour. All it is a Jamaal Magloire saying something that VC said to him, that's blown out of proportian. Vince could of said to Nash or Shaq that he needed them here in Toronto, and that wouldn't mean a thing. The Raptors are eyeing Magloire by Vince Carter telling him that we need him here. No dispect to Avery at all, but it would be better if these articles weren't posted because they have no meaning at all. I opened the thread expecting atleast a trade rumour or Jamaal Magloire saying something about him wanting to play in TO, but this nothing.

exactly...so what if the discussion turns into a "can we get magloire" discussion...many threads with links spawn into trade idea threads. how is this one different from any else?

i just dont like the idea of someone comming into a thread that iv responded to and told that my response is useless and pointless. whats constructive about that? dont like the thread, or dont like where its going? dont respond its that simple. comming in and re-itterating your opinion over AND OVER of how pointless you think the discussion is, is JUST as useless in itself. hypocrisy...isnt it great? lol

I don't think NOH would want it then :P, maybe I underatte Jalen's value, maybe I do, but it doesn't look too bad then I guess since they get Bosh, but Magloire and Baron, that's harsh.

i kno its not that good of a trade but my original thought was trading vc and bosh for baron, and magloire but that salries wudnt match up so i had to add enough ppl, also if we didnt trade skip then NO wudnt have a starting point guard, but trading both bosh and marshall... i dunt kno what i was thinking '_'
