Their's news that the Raptors are shopping hard for P.J Brown because everyone on the Hornets roster must go. He has 3-years and $24 million left on his contract and we'll likely give up Donyell Marshall or Mo Peterson for him. What do you guys think?

that trade frees up a lot of cap space for the raps, cliffs contract comes off the books as well this summer. i like the trade but i think portland won't assume j.rose's contract unless we accept DA. i like the trade from an abstract perspective in getting rid of dead weight.

Penny hardaway Tim Thomas and draft picks or micheal sweetney For Jalen Rose and VC saves us almost 48 million in cap space. Let the rebuilding begin

I would really love to do a deal that involved Ben Gordon and Eddy Curry for Carter. We would get a big center, who has a back to the basket game, and an up and coming shooting guard (who can also play the 1, time to time) to play along with Alston in the backcourt.

    PG: Alston/Palacio
    SG: Gordon/Peterson
    SF: Rose/Murray
    PF: Bosh/Bonner
    C: Eddy Curry/Donyell Marshall/Loren Woods

that deal doesn't work out from a salary cap standpoint.

It wont, I know that. But the trade would be focused on those players. Other players could be thrown in to make the salaries within 15%.

Plus, I think the Raptors won't do the deal until Eddy is signed to an extension, since he's a restricted free agent this year.

i'm cool with a trade with new orleans involving the big names: vince+ jalen+donyell marshall for magloire+b.davis but i think they would only accept that if we take mashburn as well. i'm alright with that as well, his contract expires next season so he doesn't hurt our cap like jalen's contract. i like chris anderson and geroge lynch for defensive toughness as well. we might have to throw in moiso but who cares about him.

Mashburn's contract doesn't expire, he has a player option for 10 million next season, and if he takes it he has on more season after that.

well i would still do they trade, i'm confident coach mitchell will embarrass him so bad that he would opt out of his contract [IMG] . plus, as aforementioned i worry about chemistry, they look disjointed with conflicting intentions on most nights with j.rose and vince, remember attacking the little man [IMG]

Haha attacking the little man, well their's Vince who only cares 1 out of every 2 nights, and their's Jalen who will never pass the ball back to you if you give it to him, so yea doesn't work too well, but Mashburn is kinda like Jalen so let's hope he doesn't actually play [his knees are dead], and he's also not a good locker room guy either.

mashburn has jalen's intentions, but he's mute and has no friends on any team he's played for. jalen i think controls that locker room; mo pete, roger mason, loren woods, vince and even lammond murray venerate him. looking back at the boston meltdown, i thought loren woods only calmed down after jalen went over to the bench. and about monster mash's personality, i think he's a victim of bad situations: he was on a young maverick team where j.kidd and jimmy jackson were preoccupied with toni braxton (understandable btw, i would as well), playing for the heat he did well but pat riley somehow blamed him for all the heat misfortunes and in new orleans he got labelled an anti-team guy for not rehabing with the team. would u rather spend your time with darryl armstrong and the rest of the hornets or in miami? point being monster mash ain't that bad, we endured 6 seasons of vince telling us how hard is life is, i think we can live with a couple years with a basketball recluse.
