The Wrestler: 8.5/10 Solid movie. I can't believe that homo movie beat this out and Sean Penn beat him out. Rourke was just fucking flat out brilliant.
Transformers 2 - 6/10 Long, but the action was good. The Wrestler 7.5/10 Twilight, for a chick flick - 6/10
Public Enemies - 6.5/10 Failure to build up Bale's character and also Marion Cotillard's as well. Depp was good. The major flaw? The shooting. I hated the hand held camera. It made it look so cheesy and low budget.
Bruno-5 I dont know what to say about this movie, I laughed while watching it, but when it was over I felt empty and dirty. Borat was ALOT better.
Bruno - 8/10 Movie was hilarious, though not as good as Borat. The Boondock Saints - 10/10 One of my all time favorites, amazing movie. Now if only they would finish the sequel, All Saints Day, I'd be happy.
I believe most people are pretty comfortable about their sexuality and won't turn gay from watching a movie.
Because it was hilarious despite the huge amount of penis shown in it. And I'm incredibly comfortable with my sexuality, so it didn't bother me anyways. I think my girlfriend was bothered by it moreso than me.
Ali G: In Da House -- Since all the talk about Bruno, I thought I'd watch one of Sasha Baren Cohen's classic to compare it to Bruno. One of the best comedies I've seen and it definitely worth a watch. If you guys haven't checked out Ali G's TV series (I believe it aired on BBC America for a while), do it immediately! You'll be laughing harder than Bruno and Borat combined. 9.5/10 Pirates of Silicon Valley -- Fucking weird movie. I don't really know if it was good or bad... It's basically a biography/movie about Bill Gates and Steve Jobs and how they created Microsoft and Apple. Really strange movie with a bunch of weird scenes. 4/10
Bruno - 7/10 Not as funny as some are making it out to be. Not as good as Borat, but it had its moments.
Public Enemies- 7/10. Good not great. My Sister's Keeper- 4/10. I guess it keeps you interested but I really didn't think it was that sad (compared to other sad movies I've seen), I was never even welling up or anything. I fuggin hate Cameron Diaz and while she wasn't terrible in this she still wasn't good. The actress who plays the aunt is fuckin fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine. Up- 4/10. Reminded myself why I don't see these computer animated movies. Had one or two parts I laughed at. Was surprisingly sad (being dead ass serious, my g/f cried more at this than My Sister's Keeper) at some parts. People I know are always telling me these movies aren't just kids movies but they just don't do it for me. Went to see it with my g/f's kid brother and niece though and I think they thought it was decent. Been watching Entourage and Weeds non-stop this summer. Both are really good.
Monsters vs. Aliens -- 7/10 -- fresh and lively but not very funny compared to Pixar's efforts; Kei tung bou deui: Tung pou (Tactical Unit: Comrades in Arms) -- 4/10 -- mediocre in every respect; The Watchmen -- 8/10 -- visually fascinating but rambling, disjointed, and overproduced; Torchwood: Children of Earth -- 5/10 -- unsatisfying science fiction defined.
