Inglorious Bastards: Solid A. Thoroughly enjoyed it, which was a pleasant surprise.

did you watch it in 3D IMAX? If not, then maybe thats why. It's not going to be great on DVD though.

Are you saying that a movie's rating could/should change where/how you watch it? I agree with what he said, "entertaining, not disappointing", but take away the 3-D and Avatar is a C (6/10) movie. The story is "Dances with Wolves" but with Aliens. I think if a movie is great it shouldn't matter if it's in a theater, 3-D, on DVD, or streamed over the internet.

He is from North Dakota/Minnesota. Probably the first time he was exposed to that culture and lifestyle and didn't like what he saw.

Lol, I'm just messing around. We do have another one, but whatever ahaha.

The other one is like 10-12 pages already, I just thought it was merged with this one, but guess not.

You are from North Dakota HCP lol. And the neighborhood I went to school in in St Paul was about 50 times worse then anything I could imagine at good old Milwaukie High where I spent my first year.

I didn't like the movie because I hate Denzel for one, and two it just seemed stupid. It was a very predictable to me and jsut didnt like it.

Thats exactly what i'm saying. If you think about it, no plot is original. You just need to tweak certain variables as to what makes a movie great. In this case, it's the IMAX 3D. Watch it normally, itll be....average.

I watched it in IMAX 3D and it was still average. The special effects still don't look much better than a Pixar movie, and those don't even try to be serious films. The CGI just makes it feel sterile.

Just saw Green Zone. I liked it. I would say 7/10. There were some obvious liberties taken, but there were some very authentic details about this movie. Small details. But very authentic. I heard they used guys who were prior service and it showed. A lot of their tactics were spot on, like when they're entering buildings. I would recommend it. It's a little "Bourne Identity" but I still liked it.

Just going through the list of old time classics and AFI top 100 film list, I just watched The Deer Hunter for the first time. Very intense movie, and definitely can see why it's great. What I really enjoy doing is going back and watching all of the best received and/or classic (that includes non-American) films of a particular decade and trying to figure out what people must have been thinking at the time.

The '70s are fairly obvious, but the '90s are still somewhat of a mystery. Both decades seemed to be equally angry and self-reflective, and I'm not quite sure why. The '70s had Vietnam and a whole lot of upheaval, and the '90s had, what... the Gulf War, grunge music and reality TV?

Anyways I give the Deer Hunter a solid 9.2/10. Pretty long movie and is not for everyone.

I really liked this movie. Brought back memories of one of my favorites: Fire In The Sky.

Every time I have to drive to Coos Bay to see family, I always go by that little market that was in the movie.
