Re: Rate your team's off-season I'll bite on this topic. I give the Mavs a B+. We really made a lateral movement in terms of offseason. Straight line, didn't get worse or better imo. Our top 7 are the same players returning, most of the success is going to come from improvements within those 7 players. The guys we brought in I feel are better tested for the playoffs and will improve our depth. But again, we didn't shake up our core and made subtle changes. Overall a good offseason.

Asside from that, I was just saying that it was a key loss. When you lose somebody that puts up 20 a game, its a key loss. And u can say that he took all the shots down the stretch all you want, but when he is making 47% of those shots, u cant complain too much. Im sure u remember the misses ALOT more than u do the makes because the misses are all that u want to remember because u dont like him.And when you say he played to boost his numbers for a contract, that is what you would like to call "ignorant". I guarantee you every single player in the league plays to win. No matter who you say plays for themself, I will not listen to you. As a player, I play to win. I Could care less if I get 30 points and we lose. Its not worth it. And I guarantee you that he felt the same way.Yeah, Anthony Parker can do all those things in the Euro League. When he can come to the NBA and do just as good if not better, then I will believe it. When a player gets ran out of the league and HAS to go to Europe to get minutes, it doesn't impress me too much. He may have gotten better, but how could he not have? He averaged like 2 ppg and didnt play much at all. I dont assume, I just use my brain. And my brain is telling me that when a player cant cut it in the league and they come back later at age 30, that they either wont be good, or not to good for too long.</div>I think you're wrong. It's not a key loss. TJ Ford will give us 15 without being a ballhof, and he will set our guys up a hell of alot better than Mike James did. Anthony Parker should be an impact on offense, and tons of people are saying that Mo will score 20 a game. It's not a big deal at all. Im glad Mike James is gone. I wont miss him one bit. Do you know how many games he cost us by always taking the shot at the end of the game? It has to be more than a handful. No, he was being double teamed down the stretch, and alot of times he missed his shots. If he passed the ball to the open man, we could have had a way better chance of winning those games. Ever wonder why we always crumble in last minute situations? There's your answer. That is true. Thats why he ball hogged and shot the ball so much, and thats why he couldnt wait to get out of town. He got the keys to the offense, but he took advantage of that, and tried to boost up his ppg numbers, instead of being just a solid pg. Yeah, all players play to win, but he would be fine and dandy in a Raptors loss where he scored 30 points. Getting himself a contract was a much higher priority than trying to improve our team, and get us some wins. Dude, how long ago was that? 6-7 years ago? Why are you focusing on that? After many years as being a top player in the Euro-Leagues, do you think he didnt improve his game? Why do you think we are naming him our starter over Fred Jones? Do you think he is starting for a reason? He will be a hell of alot better than he was when he first came into the League, and I think you should start giving the guy some credit, instead of dogging on him constantly about his first 2 years in the league, HALF A DECADE AGO!He just got a little better? Thats BS. He excelled out there, and was the best player in all of Europe. Maybe you'll stop trying to use your brain, and just give him some god damn respect when the season starts...<_<BTW, people are saying that he is a lockdown defender..
Re: Rate your team's off-season No offense CB4, while I like the moves the Raptors made in the offseason. It's still a lot of pieces to bring together and players who will have to adjust to NBA basketball, ie. Bargnani, Parker, and Garbojosa. I think because of that overhaul and experience needed, I'm not expecting or sharing the same ethusiasm you are for this upcoming season. Nice overall offseason but I disagree with Wolverine calling it the best of all teams.
