It's not like he said this would happen and it never did. Kobe actually ended up doing what Ray said he would, so why you would hate on Ray for that I don't understand even if you are huge Kobe homer.

Kobe's "selfishness"? That's why Kobe is the best player in the game and why "unselfish" "loyal to the team" players like Ray allen and KG continue to sink in mediocrity.Thank god kobe opened his mouth. The lakers don't deserve a player like kobe. The man is the best perimeter player ever behind jordan and is in his prime and were ignoring him (using him to sell tickets) to build around Benjamin benoit?I'm sick of the FO.. I hope Jerry buss sells the lakers. He and his son are destroying the lakers.edit: Actually, this is laughable. We have some laker fans on other forums chosing Bynum over kobe? My goodness, when kobe ditches the lakers to sign with the bulls and wins multiple rings I'll be telling them "I told you so". Can you imagine in chicago, kobe will have a real pg who can distrubute and play defense, a swingman who can actually create for himself, a real shotblocking precense and a coach who Coaches defense?RINGS

But after reading this, you are more of a Kobe fan boy than a Laker fan. :no1:

The front office simply are whacko. Also, I'm an nba fan first off. Kobe is simply the most skilled player ever. If this team isn't going to help him then for our sake and his, let him be traded. The lakers are using him and it's disgusting to see.I guess I'm more grateful to a guy who has saved the lakers seasons two seasons in a row.

It doesn't matter how the FO is acting. Regardless, Kobe has to neck it out, or just vent his frustrations behind closed doors. After his post-playoff interview...that was fine. But his trade demands really ticked me off. I am a Laker fan, and it's about the name on the front of the jersey, not the back. If Kobe did leave, I would not cheer for him...I know that for sure.

The only thing that has ticked me off is his flip floppping. The actual trade demand didn't faze me. If the lakers aren't going to help him then they dont deserve him. I do not want another kg situation here, when a superstar keeps queit whilst the inept Front office does nothing. If things aren't working and no-one wants to change it then blow the team up and start fresh. We've made moves that simply haven't added up and have no continuity. Also, I hate these insuniations of homerism and saying "I'm a fan of the lakers, not kobe". For a while, there hasn't been a team. Kobe has been our team. He has literally saved the lakers ass, both winning wise (making the playoffs) and money wise. I guess you like front office using him but I don't. I'll say this again. If they aint going to help, Trade him this offseason to a team that will. Don't say "well were going to be half assed at making this team better" but we won't trade you. Now who's really selfish?

Now, with Kobe on their backs about building around him now, instead of some long-term plan (thank god). Surely something will be done to not only turn the franchise around, but to keep Kobe here as well.

Yes, they are not helping him win. They pass up trades to hold onto some plan which was just a fantasy. Horrible MLE signings. Horrible drafting for atleast 5 years now. Imo, it's all about money. Winning isn't their main priority anymore. Kobe sells tickets, he makes money for them. The lakers are using kobe untill they can pry Bron to laker land. Kobe finally understood what's up.Also, lol @ front office trying to win just as much kobe. That's why they are in love with Bynum and considered him untouchable even though he hasn't shown crap. That's why they keep surrounding kobe with scrubs like Smush parker and Brian cook. Infact, name me 3 moves in the last 3 years which have helped the lakers?I can name one. Ronny turiaf being drafted. That's about it.Remember this. It's all about the money.

I will be cheering kobe where he goes. He isn't my favourite player because he plays for the lakers. He is my favourite player because I love watching him play basketball. Him playing with the lakers just makes it better. But if he leaves, good luck on him.

Maybe we should sign Ray Allen as the Lakers GM.
