Trying to save her own ass. Too late. She will be voted out in November. Which means she will likely vote for Trumps nominee in the lame duck period as a fuck you on the way out. McSally knows she is gone and wants to vote for Trumps nominee as a fuck you
Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but if another conservative is pushed through before the election, and if the Dems end up controlling both the House and Senate, the number of SC judges will then possibly go up from 9 to 11.
Yep. Dems will get rid of the filibuster and increase the size of the SC from 9 judges to 11 or maybe even 13. Only if Biden wins though
RBG can never truly be replaced. Any nominee that Trump "replaces" her with will be nothing more than a pimple on RBG's ass.
CC, though I generally lean towards the conservative on some issues, RBG was truly unique in my mind and though she was more liberal, if there were 9 RBGs on the SC this country would have a much better moral/legal compass.
Personally, I think that both major parties should die an inglorious death so we could actually have a government that represents the people.
And if the Dems win the House and Senate but Trump is re-elected he will be a 4 year "lame duck" POTUS...and will likely be pushed out of office.
The 2 party system as it is currently structured is simply too dysfunctional...they can't even agree on the color of shit.
GOP Rep. Offers Condolences to '30 Million Innocent Babies' Who Died From Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Defense of Abortion Republican Georgia Congressman Doug Collins reacted to the news of the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg by bringing up Ginsberg's pro-choice record. Collins, who was part of President Donald Trump's support team during Trump's impeachment trial in January, has been outspoken about his pro-life views. With Ginsburg's passing, the U.S. Supreme Court has a vacant seat which could be filled by one of Trump's nominees. Conservatives currently hold a majority in the Supreme Court. Collin's tweet expressed a hope that the next Supreme Court Justice would be against abortion. "RIP to the more than 30 million innocent babies that have been murdered during the decades that Ruth Bader Ginsburg defended pro-abortion laws," Collins tweeted. "With @realDonaldTrump nominating a replacement that values human life, generations of unborn children have a chance to live." https://www.newsweek.com/gop-rep-of...who-died-ruth-bader-ginsburgs-defense-1533040
Trump has case before Supreme Court to completely overturn Affordable Care Act but asked them not to hear it until after election. I guess "I took away your health care in the middle of a pandemic" is not a great re-election slogan. If he gets a hand picked justice then everyone who got Corona virus can be legally denied insurance or charged such exorbitant rates it amounts to the same thing. No treatment for Corona virus complications or anything else, lifelong. Even if you voted for him. And no, there is no replacement plan in two weeks. Tired of winning yet?
